Honestly, I'd have been really pissed off if Manning had had a great game and thrown for 300 plus yards and 3 TDs. Anyone who watched the game knows that he did absolutely nothing to contribute to the win, it was all the defense. There's no spinning that whatsoever. 130something yards, 0 TDs...
I'm just happy we got the 4th much deserved championship last year. The league did everything they could to prevent it from happening and we still won. Everything else is just icing on the cake now. I still want them to win, but as long as Denver or Indy don't win it all, I won't be...
When you're the alpha dog, people will do anything to try to tear you down. This is the late 90s/early 2000s Yankees all over again, only with social media available. Yesterday's game would be like if the rest of the MLB celebrated a regular season game after a team barely beat Tanyon Sturtz...
If you want bad things to happen to Indy and their fans, root for them to beat Denver. A lot of their fans are more so bandwagon Denver/Peyton fans that just happen to root for the Colts as well. For a lot of them, it's 1.)Broncos, 2.)Rooting against Patriots (1 and 2 are interchangeable.)...
I was thinking of power hitters that strikeout a lot and bat for low average and he was the first person that came to mind lol. Poor man's Brett Favre like Rob said is probably a more apt comparison.
I never thought much of him to begin with. He's the Adam Dunn of quarterbacks - 40 HRs, but bats .220 and strikes out 200 times a year. Media pays attention to the big plays while ignoring the fact that throwing 40 TDs means nothing when you turn the ball over and lose to elite teams.
Broncos fans are calling for him to be benched. I think the chatter will get louder as soon as they lose a game or two. Right now it would be hard to bench the QB of a 5 and 0 team.
I think 4 things kept him from retirement after last year's playoff disaster:
1.)Ego
2.)Guaranteed money...
Colts fans would give up their 1 or 2 remaining teeth to keep this game within a couple touchdowns. They have this intense dislike for all things Pats that surpasses the hate we get from any other fanbase. I think a lot of it has to do with them still caring about Peyton and his legacy (how...
Agree with the post above. My interest has went from a strong 10 to a 6. Football is supposed to be entertainment and a distraction from everyday life, but when the product is rigged, no reason to bother being that passionate about it. God-Dell might think he's doing what the rest of the...
For those of you who watched the X-Files, this whole thing reminds me of the finale where Mulder is accused of killing a super-soldier who can't be killed, is put on trial in a naval court and director Kersh is told to be the judge and deliver a guilty sentence. Jury is hand picked, Mulder is...
