Receiver Arithmetic - Spreading It Out

Seems the Pats have an eye for the draft for a receiver. We have not done so great on that end since Terry Glenn. To be fair, wildly over paying for Bowe or Wallace seems stupid and just not a ton of selection out there in FA. Gotta run what ya brung.

Pick One: a 27 year old Wes Welker, or a 27 year old Troy Brown

I have $200 that says Amendola scores more td's this year than Welker in 2012 and has 10+ more receptions for more than 15 yards. He is a better fit IMO.

Pick One: a 27 year old Wes Welker, or a 27 year old Troy Brown

Not meant to offend but maybe too many Fantasy Football stat types answering this question. Its an easy one: Troy Brown. A total winner and comes up huge when needed. His strip in the San Diego Divisional game years back was just tenacious play; so many other things. Welker is an amazing player...

    Dumervil going to Ravens

Just my two cents but this was a whopper of a contract from the Ravens for Elvis. Ellerbe was way more important for their defense to retain and even Kruger may have, MAY HAVE, been a better cog for their scheme. Weird singing for that kind of money IMO.

I can't wait to get the season started

I am not a Kool Aid drinker but as I see it with Gronkowski and Hernandez 100% and most importantly a Chandler Jones healthy and with an entire off season of upper body work/conditioning I am excited. So much time until the season starts, we will fill in some holes no doubt.

Adrian Wilson : When BB Calls, You Listen!

Keep seeing that Wilson will be a liability in coverage and I can't but chuckle as if the Patriots don' give up the most deep pass balls in the league. Maybe he is not a vintage Neon Sanders but he could be an upgrade no matter what.

    Measuring "Cheap"

Flacco's 20 million will show that one guy cannot do it; bet money Ravens don't make playoffs.

    Robert Kraft blasts Welker's agent

I may be nuts but no Welker may help Brady become more hard to read, especially on 3rd down.

    Measuring "Cheap"

When Julius Peppers was a free agent I was actually sweating with excitement at the idea of landing him. 6 years at 91 million is why the Bears have no offensive line. You cannot pay everyone. Have to pick your spots. "But I being poor have only my dreams..." But I, being poor, have only my...

Reading Kraft's transcript today makes me respect the man even more. Great mind and great owner.
