IMO BB is the best and most strategic team builder in the NFL and if he believes we should move on from WW than he has a plan in place to do so without issue otherwise he'd retain him.
IMO TB only plays football to win and be successful and not for money anymore. At this point between his...
Great outline Andy..
The offense changed mostly through a combination of Moss leaving, O'Brien as OC and the additions of the tight ends. WW was very productive in the season in which we featured a vertical offense. So IMO this offense is not designed around WW skill set I think it features...
BM I never said I think we're going to get him. I do think if we wanted him its possible.
I was laying out the options at hand because I wanted to see what people thought.
I want to pretend for a minute that the Jets would trade Revis here..
The financial and compensation implications of such a trade would breakdown to these options.
Option A: Trade for Revis and sign him to a contract of likely $15M per. Let Talib and Welker walk because of salary cap...
I think you're missing the point of the thread. Even if we sign the WW we still need to add additional players.
There are some nice complementary WR who could help without commanding huge money.
Steve Smith from the Rams is a free agent. Used to he a good slot receiver with Eagles has fallen off the map the last few years. Your information is correct just mixing up the two have the same name.
Also to answer your original question I think Jerome Simpson would be a nice pickup. Has...
I obviously am in the minority but I haven't completely ruled out Chung being back on a 1 year prove it deal. I think BB had some issues with him this season and he ended up in the dog house but there is talent and when he is right and can stay healthy he is a difference maker. BB is one to...
The Colts have a very young team with a lot players who will be looking to get paid very soon. If they spend now on contracts for Vollmer and Talib they will end up losing their own talent in 1-2 years.
Bengals can take Woodhead how many change of pace backs make sense to have on one roster...
Yeah I agree with that. He isn't really good at anything just average at multiple things. I just can't see us committing a roster spot to a pure FB for a full season. They do have Larsen and Fiammetta under contract still so maybe. We did struggle sometimes running at the goal line.
I also see the nickel as a 3-3-5 with the Jack at the line or hand in the dirt and the dime as a 3-2-6 with the Jack at the line or hand in the dirt. Jones does stand up sometimes in the subs giving a 2-4 look as well. It's a great scheme for the personal and I think Saban and BB have an...
In my view the Patriots ran in 2012 and will continue to run moving forward the same type of 3-4 over/under defense that Saban runs at Alabama that most call a 4-3.
3-4 Jack LB
Rob Ninkovich
Marcus Benard
Jason Vega
LDE
Armond Armstead
Brandon Deaderick
NT
Vince Wilfork
Kyle Love
Marcus Fortson...
Revis wanted $16m a year from the Jets a losing franchise. Maybe after going through a serious injury and now this he'd see value in being part of great winning franchise.
The thing with Welker for me is more about the duration of the contract and guaranteed money. I'd have no problem paying him $10m next year but I would not want to do that in 2014, 2015, etc.
To piggyback this a little bit I also see Marcus Fortson as someone who could make the roster in 2013 and contribute. Viewed as an early round draft pick prior to an injury ridden final year at college. Big time upside as NT/DT with more natural talent than Love or Deaderick.
Seahawks’ Richard Sherman claiming he’s better than Darrelle Revis » Pro Football Zone)
This kid really defines an idiot who acts out on the internet for attention.. He might or might not be in the same class as Revis on the field but he defiantly in the same calls as the girls from Teen Mom...
