They aren't picking up Mac's option, but he'll still be on the team next year possibly as the early season starter or backing up a veteran.. possibly a rookie, but i dunno, i think a red shirt year for rookie QBs is a good thing

you cant leave out the cons with Folk, which was a weak leg including kickoffs.. He couldn't generate touchbacks, didnt have the leg.. thats why they had to have someone else do kickoffs for him

this is a complete rebuild.. they need to identify the few players they think could be part of a core of leaders that they could stomach big contracts on, and start looking to the draft or big time trades for young elite...
