8? dont be ridiculous.
I just did a search of threads started by me since 9/4 and the total was 15. That is 15 in the last 14 days, an average of just over 1 per day. If you cant post an honest post, dont.
No, probably the same as the current one, about 2 or 3, as many other people do. Isnt that the purpose of forums like this one. At least that is what I have been told.
Thats a gimmee, as it is with any head coach, but the question is, does he? My opinion is no, or at least hardly ever. You see, he said that he "could" change them, not that he does change them.
Re: [Linda's TWOMerged Threads About Refs]Should the Pats call out officials like Fla
Oh, I doubt that they are pouting about it. They are professional athletes doing what they get paid to do.
It is for us, the fans, to pout about things that happen , to be angered about them, to cheer...
You nailed it. It is called "common sense" and there are times when common sense must prevail over everything else.
What this official has done is to put himself into a situation where every similar play that comes his way during the course of every other game that he will officiate at for...
And, that is it in a nutshell of where I believe he is very weak.
I dont know why, but he just gives off an appearance of smugness and that he can do no wrong, and just is not willing to admit it and make quick changes.
Provable? No. But it sure looks like that in many instances.
But...
There is a lot of merit to your comments. You have hit on some very important facets of what took place during the game that, IMO, were the main reasons for the defeat, eminating from the offensive coordinator's decisions.
And Yes, Brady did have the type of body language that you suggest...
From what I have read, and heard, BB usually does not interfere with what his coordinators are calling, on both sides of the ball. He has an attitude of letting the coordinators do their jobs.
This does not mean that in certain situations he might not intercede and give his two cents worth...
Yes, I do. Hopefully though, I won't be proven to be correct, but I seriously believe that I will be. Oh, and BTW, filtering thru this thread and many others, I am far from alone in my criticism of McDaniels.
Yes, by the letter of the rule, he held. But, so did the Cardinal player. Point is, with the regular officials, and maybe even with most of the replacement officials, that flag would, probably, never have been thrown. The hold, both ways, was not flagrant at all, and did not effect the...
Re: The official that threw the flag??????
Which was bad judgement and, IMO as most experienced NFL officials will tell you that the time of the game, and the closeness of the score, will dictate whether non flagrant penalties are called.
A quality official will have that in his head as...
But why do it when it had already shown, at those times of the game, that it wasnt working? At those stages of the game, and in the field position they were in, McDaniels demonstrated, IMO, that he just does not go for the jugular.
And, of course, that is just my personal opinion, of which I...
Re: The official that threw the flag??????
No one is questioning the fact that, by the book, the call was correct. However, as we all know, and as has been written in may places, unless it is very flagrant the call in that situation would not have been made. And, for that matter, the call of...
