I agree but looking at previous years QB trades I'm trying to understand how Cassel goes for similar compensation and Kolb goes for more? Out of the 3 doesn't Smith have the best resume at the time of trade? Don't you want more out of a former #1 pick which you invested stupid money in?

Purely speculative but, I think Wayne had to have received an offer he felt was the best he was going to get in order to re-up with Indy so quick. I also think it would be very hard to for Lloyd to justify getting more than Wayne.

The numbers seem pretty comparable to me. He is only two years older but I guess given that Gaffney has had success in the system before that's the difference. Maybe I'm buying to much into speed.

I like Gaffney as well but think Moss' speed would be better for stretching the field. I think he is very underrated and he is affordable.
