Would you rather have Washington's third rounder or first in 2014?
I could see a package book value closer to this.
Book Value of #2 = 2600
Book Value of #6 = 1600
Book Value of 2013 1st = 1000 x 70% = 700
Book Value of 2014 1st = 1000 x 70% x 70% = 490
Book Value of #39 = 510...
The biggest problem with this is that trading back from 3rd to 2nd to 1st, is a really hard trade. A pick that someone REALLY wants has to be there, and then they will be paying you a premium to get that player.
I would put a much higher value on the 1st from Washington in 2014 then a 3rd...
So I decided to list all the patriots pick next to all the Steelers, just to show how they compare against each other. I think that sometimes as Patriots fans we only focus on our teams mistakes and other teams successes, ie Tate - Wallace.

At Special team, defensive backup, WR backup he's fine. He was only in 13.3% of offensive snaps, behind Branch and Ocho. He only had 9 catches for 69 yards in 23 games. At least 3 interceptions that were thrown at him this season.
Unfortunately Coale's 40 time was officially adjusted to 4.5, even as a late pick it might just be more of the same thing that we have. I like the pats picking him if they gain a mid to late round pick, I'm not a big fan of Edelman.
6. I really like all the players you picked, the first 3 might be gone by 27 but we can hope :D
8. I completely disagree. The pats will most likely be drafting in the bottom 4 of the draft until Brady retires. The only way to maintain a high level of players is to manipulate the draft...
I like the trades into next year, it provides years of extra second round picks. If we could get that for both picks I would do it. 3 firsts next year and 4 seconds this year :)
The biggest problem is that the pats won't want to give long term deals with Gronk and Hernandez big pay day coming.
I could see them signing a FA WR for a 1-2 year deal, but how many would want that.
