I'm not a real Patriots fan? What am I the Pinocchio of Patriots fans then? I'm sorry, but Ridley / Vereen are just two unproven second year players that the coaching staff refused to put in any meaningful situations.
re: Win, FAIL, or Meh? USA Today Draft special: Nick Perry, S Hill, A Dennard, L James
Agree completely. No one even knew or cared about the guy until he tore up the underwear Olympics.
He also added a big and glaring 15 reception season on his resume under most recent employment. I've never seen a worse player get so much love from Patriots fans. Can't Kraft just take the boys to Justin Beiber concerts and cut out the middle man so the Patriots aren't wasting a roster spot?
Second most carries behind a RB that the team decided a modest contract was too much to pay for. That should tell you something. And Woodhead was terrible last year.
It's amazing really. I understand that Ridley and Vereen are rookies, so they have that fresh hype on 'em. But come on, they haven't proven anything and both had trouble cracking the lineup in a weak backfield already.
If you believe in curses, the Patriots losing the Superbowl is not a good sign for the upcoming year. Can't remember the last time a Superbowl loser had a good season or did anything worthwhile in the playoffs. There always seems to be a lot of injuries to key players too.
Ninko played a hellvua lot better than McCourty. He was trash last year. I felt like the only reason he continued playing is because Belichick didn't want to hurt the captain's fragile confidence by benching him.
Yes, 7 million for one of the best running backs in the league is way too much but paying guys like Dan Koppen or Chad Ochocinco 3+ million is completely fine.
Are you talking about Shane Vereen or Steven Jackson? Jackson has missed two games since 2009. He's played through injuries that would put most RBs on IR. The only time he hasn't surpassed 1000 yards was his rookie year. Yeah, that's right, the guy has ran for over 1,000 yards in seven straight...
Even if he's on the downward slope of his career I'd take a Steven Jackson wearing a blindfold with his shoes tied together over anything the Patriots currently have. The dude has more talent in one toe than Ridley, Vereen, and Woodhead combined.
It would be a bad career move for White. The only player he consistently burned over his short career would be his teammate, a man known as Patrick Chung.
Wouldn't have been an issue if showed up prior to the last 5 five minutes. But ever since that game he hasn't been the same in the playoffs. The football gods turned playoff Eli into Tom and playoff Tom into Peyton.
