Great to see England finally lose. First good team they've faced and they get found out. Being in the UK hearing the ridiculous English media going on about how amazing they've done every day has been unbearable at times. It's also not hard to hate a team with guys like Kane, Alli, Henderson and...
They might be European/South American but they're not who people thought would be there. Most assumed that the QF's would include Spain, Argentina, Germany and Portugal. Nobody realistically thought it would include Sweden and Russia.
The defender in that case did at least try to go for the ball and under the current rules that doesn't result in a red card.
Also Mexico please win and Colombia please please please win.
Everything about that game sucked, mainly McCarthy and the refs. I honestly don't see why the Steelers are held in such high regard. They've beaten the Vikings when Keenum was just starting and nobody else of note.
I personally hate that the call made on the field by the ref in real time is at all considered by the replay officials. Gronks catch on camera is a clear catch, one look shows that but because the camera misses the ball for like a second and you can't be 1 million percent sure then you just go...
Love the celebrations, especially the good/funny choreographed ones.
My favourite ever was a "soccer" one, Celtic player who had been getting trashed in the press all week for being bad (which to be fair he was) scores a great goal to tie the game and pretends to write on his hand like he's...
Terrible spot there. Also the "not enough evidence to overturn" rule is so stupid. In a video replay with slow mo etc what the ref seen in real time should be completely ignored. You know "not enough evidence" is just code for "99 percent wrong decision"
