Every one had mixed reviews on Patterson.
I don't really think he'd fit well in the complex system the Patriots try to run.
It's hard picking receivers here for a reason. They're asked to do more.
re: If Belichicks drafts are such "failures"..
Exactly.
Bill Belichick can draft dwarfs and elves, and they'd still win 10 games.
Belichick needs to hand the draft over to someone else.
Bottom line he's a real hit or miss with the draft. He misses on a lot.
That said, I...
You can argue every receiver they have is a third or fourth option. I think the Patriots are in the position they must draft one with the first two picks, and hope he really can play.
Because their receiving core is a joke. Teams are going to packing the middle more than ever.
I wouldn't...
Rubin is not a nose tackle. We got an absolute stud in Phil Taylor, and a lot of depth at his position.
IMO, Rubin is more likely to get dealt, than Sheard. I don't think Sheard is going any where.
Grossi speculates a lot, but he could be right about Rubin. I don't see him playing much now...
I think the value for both would be Mallet, and the Patriots second round pick.
I personally, wouldn't want that deal. I don't like Mallet. I think that's what the Browns would want if the Patriots were interested.
I would do that deal in second if I'm New England. You guys would have one...
This is by far the dumbest post I've ever read.
I live in Cleveland. And its laughable if you think you could get either player, or both, for a 5, 6th, or 7th.
Both players are studs. You've never watched a Browns game in your life.
Re: Emmanuel Sanders signs offer sheet (Unconfirmed report)
They're just trying to ensure they can make the best offer the Steelers can't match.
If they show their hand too soon, the Steelers might match. Hopefully they take the bait, and sign Breaston(like they've been looking at), or Lloyd...
I'd be cool to see the Pats hook Brady up with Fitzgerald.
Ironically, I think the Pats have the pieces to make that trade. Especially with QB woes going on in Arizona. I'd probably cost them Mallet, a first, and a second.
Too bad his contract doesn't make it likely.
Pats know time is...
Sanders would be better than anyone they had last year.
Jennings is not that good anymore. It'd been terrible to throw so much money at him.
Sanders doesn't have to be Randy Moss, he just has to stretch the defense. He definitely can, and does.
Mike Wallace is overrated. Better to pay...
Sanders will be a pro bowl player if he comes to the Pats. Mark my words. I live close to Pittsburgh, this kid is really good. There's not one Steeler fan that I know that wants to lose him. They're pretty mad about this.
Playing man to man, with his speed, with Brady, is just stealing.
Stop, he's not a HOF. The dude could barely get into the game before his Patriot years.
There was a really good article on Amendola. Everything he's done pre-Patriot blows away what Welker did.
And as good as Welker was(I'm not saying he was not good), you can't for one second ignore the...
If they sign Sanders, I think they have much better weapons than '12.
First, let's remember that both Gronk and Hernandez played a total of ONE game together. Just getting them both on the field together instantly makes the offense better.
The problem with the Patriots is that they don't have...
Bingo.
Glad someone nailed it. Ray Lewis' impact is QBing the defense, more so than his actual play. He can recognize everything, and has seen everything.
It makes sense why Brady has struggled against him. Because he is Tom Brady on defense, and is not fooled.
The Ravens try to take...
I hope both have long and productive careers. I don't wish injury on anyone. I'm just saying both have shown to be injury prone unfortunately.
Hopefully they can stay healthy. Gronk sat out in 2009 with a back injury. His injury problems are well noted. Which is why he slipped to the second...
Gronk is built like a bull. I highly doubt its a lack of strength or conditioning. You can't control how your bones react to contact.
Some people's bones are more likely to break compared to others. It doesn't make him weak, its genetics. He can't help it.
Manning did not choke, his coach did. Manning won the game.
Does anyone for one second seriously thinks John Fox is in the same sentence as Belichick? If Belichick were the coach of that team, for argument sake, is there any doubt they wouldn't have won?
They could have won the game like 5...
