    @Chicago

Thanks Pats for the thorough butt kicking. Hopefully Chicago will learn something from it. Great team you guys have and great fans here. Thanks to all who came and visited Dabears.com. Here's to you beating the Pack and us beating the Jests!:D

Patriots are formidable but flawed — Bears can seize the day

This board sorely needs a "high five" button for posts. 100% agree, though it is wonderful once inside (you can't see the hideousness).

Patriots are formidable but flawed — Bears can seize the day

After taking a year to rebuild historic Soldier Field (during which time the team played home games at Memorial Stadium in Champaign), the Bears christened the new stadium in September 2003. Soldier Field Seating Chart, Pictures, Directions, and History - Chicago Bears - ESPN

Add Urlacher to the 'They Just Don't Learn' list

Wow. Bigdog0707 is not from dabears.com. I can assure you. Neither is CuriousGeorge. Just sayin. Honestly I don't care what pats fans or bears fans think. It is irrelevant on Sunday. I do think, based upon matchups, schemes and talent level, that the Bears have a good chance on Sunday...

    "Dink and dunk"

How about the West Coast Spread? Joking.... I'll admit to thinking that the Pats, like most teams, throw underneath (a more accurate term) when needed. However, I always saw it as a means to set up biggers passing plays on the outside and downfield. It's hard to argue with success.

Predict the Score Contest, Week 14 NE @ CHI

Though the score Bears 46 Patriots 10 is tempting, I'll say: Bears 27 Patriots 24
  7. Bearstuff

    "Dink and dunk"

No offense, but your perspective is skewed. It has nothing to do with the Patriots at all. Dink and Dunk has been a term used by analyst and fans alike long before the Pats were on anyone's mind. I remember hearing the term when Merlin Olsen was calling a Cardinals game QB'd by Jim Hart...

    40 mph winds in Chicago?

Yes, of course I realize that the league CAN mandate such a move. I also realize that they DIDN'T. I stated myself perfectly. Don't you think Heinz would have been mandated too if they were in the mandate mood?

Are you afraid of a let down after a huge win like this?

Re: Cowherd predicting Pats loss..... I hate Colin Cowherd, but he is something like 87% accurate at his predictions. I'm not feeling it so much. Still say we (Bears) either give this one away or the team with the ball last wins.

    40 mph winds in Chicago?

Yep. Heinz and Soldier are consistently voted the worst fields in the league by players. The resodding makes Soldier a clearly worse field at this point. WhoTF resods in freezing weather? Chicago's Park Authority (not team) owns the field and is completely clueless.

Urlacher says Bears can handle Brady ... Hmm ...

Wow, got a year or two? Most Bears fans aren't too sold on Lovie, though he is the best we have had in 20 years. He is stoic. I think in the time he has been there, there are a grand total of 8 pics of him cracking a smile or frown. He's been much better this year than any since losing the...

Thanks. I just had to smack a few hands over there. lol I've had a great time over here, very good discussion.

Ryan Compares Jets to '85 Bears Today in Presser About Bad Reg Season Nat'l TV Losses

Re: Ryan Compares Jets to '85 Bears Today in Presser About Bad Reg Season Nat'l TV Lo One other difference: '85 Bears vs. Miami, Jim McMahon was out. We started Maury Buford. That's right, Maury freakin Buford.

How will Julius Peppers change the game?

As I said the first time, I sincerely hope that BB feels that way too.
  15. Bearstuff

How will Julius Peppers change the game?

Bears only blitz a few times a game (less than 8), thusfar, mostly from the nickel back. We have much improved safety play over the previous 2 years. Corners are pretty decent, though no one will dub their area as "an island", lol. We are missing our 1st and possibly our 2nd string SLB, which...

    40 mph winds in Chicago?

Indeed it was, and it hasn't gotten over 40 since. The sod won't take, it will be a quagmire. Bears are used to playing on a quagmire, as it is only a decent field the first 2 games of every season. Both teams do have to play on it, true, but one of them is more used to it than the other...
  17. Bearstuff

How will Julius Peppers change the game?

Gotta say, I hope BB thinks exactly like you do. Pep does it all. Run stopping, speed rush, bull rush , containment, gets his hands up for passes, pursues acrros and down field. I was skeptical of him because of his "doesn't work hard" rap from Carolina. No one, NO ONE, has worked harder in...

    @Chicago

Great post, and thanks for salvaging us Bear fans! I'd love to invite any/all over to Dabears.com. I've run it past Ian to mention our site. We've got a good site with good football talk. Some homers, but not as bad as the Bears official site. Looking forward to any insight you...

    Salute

I've invited a few Bears fans over from Dabears.com, the site I come from. I've also asked Ian if it's ok to invite you folks over there for a little info/smack exchange. Same rules apply there as here. We don't face each other that often, so I think we both can help each other out with...

Ryan Compares Jets to '85 Bears Today in Presser About Bad Reg Season Nat'l TV Losses

Re: Ryan Compares Jets to '85 Bears Today in Presser About Bad Reg Season Nat'l TV Lo While Ryan was around for the 85 Bears loss to Miami, the games aren't comparable. First, Chicago actually scored. Not some mamby pamby FG, touchdowns. Second, Chicago was undefeated and the media (ugh)...
