If the player chooses to step on the field he is essentially proclaiming that he is in good enough condition to take those kind of hits.
Troy Polamalu takes that same risk by choosing to play with hair dangling two feet from his head. He has acknowledged that his hair is a legitimate target...
I have heard more people (jets fans in particular) say they opposite... that BB's success is a result of him "stumbling upon" brady. They point to his early days with cleveland as "proof". I think as pats fans we rightly recognize (or blindly assume?) that we are extremely lucky and fortunate...
I think that with Belichick, w/o Brady we can still be competitive (kind of like we saw in 2008) Belichick is the master of getting the most out of players, and he just may be able to develop another great QB. We probably won't win 12+ games every season, as has become sort of a norm around...
I think it is possible that McCourty made the tackle before Jones got in, but in any case it was definitely going to be a reception + some good yardage. Lets just be honest and admit McCourty got beat on that play. Still absolutely terrible by Merriweather, and Devin is still an outstanding...
Honestly, I think we are going to keep attacking teams with the same sh*t until someone show some sign of being able to stop it...
I know this sounds like 2007 where that kinda cost us a superbowl, but this year's team is much less vulnerable to different defensive strengths: we get the ball...

Butler has been playing very well recently from what I've seen, but...
I'm suprised no one has noted that stats mean virtually nothing as to the quality of a CB. Interceptions are nice, but meaninless as to coverage quality; PD are somewhat meaningful, but hardly come close to telling the whole story.
BTW... I'm not knocking McCourty in any way whatsoever. He...
Tom Brady Play - Action Against Jets
I read this on a theganggreen (jets messageboard) They said that someone should post it here, as though no pats fan could handle reading these stats. Anyway, what do you guys think... should we be worried? (BTW i wanted to post this as a separate thread...
As a fan, I have more patience with young CBs than any other position. It just seems like they take longer to develop than linemen, linebackers, recievers, etc. I remember watching Asante Samuel and wondering how he even made the practice squad, then over the course of 1-2 seasons he developed...
