As a sophomore he suffered some type of a shoulder injury midway through the season. He played the season out, but word was that it clearly hampered his game. He missed a bunch of practices and often had to come of games to rest the shoulder.
With weather reports all week long saying to expect heavy rain throughout the game, plus it being a Thursday night, tons of people were trying to get rid of their tickets. Many either didn't come to the game or came very late. My row in the 100s has 18 seats and 10 were empty deep into the 1st...
Interesting to see your thoughts, midwestpatsfan. Although we differ on several players, I really liked the analysis. For myself I have Johnny Manziel at #1. There's a number of good QBs in the draft, but Manziel is the only one with some real elite qualities, like his field vision. And forget...
The stadium lots are fine these days. For the last year or two I haven't spent more than 20 minutes exiting the stadium. Maybe it's because I get there early for tailgating and therefore have a better parking spot. I'm not really sure. But even this past game, I stayed to the final whistle...
All these years I've never understood how this works, up until a week ago. I was speaking to one of the most senior stateys who works the games. It's actually them who makes the decision when to allow the lots to open. When they see enough traffic coming, they phone the lieutenant and he...
re: Erick Frentz: patriots sign jeff demps (unconfirmed)
He was thought to be about a 5th rounder. Though if he ran a 4.1 or 4.2 40, as he reportedly can do, he may have shot up as high as the 2nd round.
IMO Nance is clearly #1 and Cunningham is clearly #2. I think the debate starts at #3. I'd probably have Martin next and Dillon close behind. I'd have a hard time putting Faulk and especially Tatupu anywhere near the top 5.
The only reason there's a debate is because of the fantasy football culture that now dominates the sport. It's grown so popular that most people are no longer football fans, they're fantasy football fans. Blocking doesn't get you points, so many will just ignore that aspect of the game and...
It's not much of a update, but the last I heard was about 6 or 7 weeks ago. Someone asked him via twitter if he'd play this year and he said, "if my body wants to I'll be out there." So it seems like he still wasn't confident he'd be healthy enough to play.
Yeah I thought the same thing when I saw the numbers. One player I'm high on is Mike Brewster. Word is that he was 6'4" or 6'5" so I was happy when I saw him come in at 6020 on a couple sites. You have him down at 6042. Could that be a misprint? I'm hoping it is lol. Btw, love your site...
I could be wrong, but I believe the kickers, punters and long snapper (Group 1) are on a 3 day schedule whereas they would work out on Friday the 24th.
I agree. Upshaw's measurables don't seem to even be in the ballpark of what we look for in an OLB. As for Hightower, I'm really interested in seeing how he does at the combine. I get the impression he's more of a Brandon Spikes type. Not the best athlete in the world, but makes up for it...
27 Andre Branch OLB Clemson - I don't see a lot I like from the position this year, but at this point I think Branch fits us better than anyone else. He has a great size/speed combo and long arms. Looks like a guy who can make the conversion to OLB without a problem.
