Fear of what?
The record has nothing to do with it, comparing the Pats team to last year's Saints team is just inaccurate across the board.
Pats deserve credit for adjusting to life without Moss, but they are still not the offensive threat they would be with him.
They have benefitted...
LOL, you are a pathetic homer.
The Pats defense is at the bottom of the league, the Saints were an aggressive defense that played well for most of the year last year.
Saints threw the ball all over the field and also had a vertical passing attack in their arsenal.
Pats are hitting stride...
You obviously either didn't watch the game, or are too biased to comment objectively on the play.
It was as clear as the day is long that the play correctly resulted in a pass interference call. I could go on and on about plays during the game, that if they didn't happen, the Jets wouldn't...
Whatever you and other Pat fans need to tell yourselves to make yourselves feel better.
The Jets were losing these games last year, but that didn't stop anybody from spinning the Jets record at the end of the year.
But, if, if, but, if, but, if, but, but, and if.
You have a pathetic excuse for every Jets positive, spinning how this team and that team should have won, and how the Jets got lucky.
Love your spinning on the Jets
Fact is, they are very good offensively, defensively, and Sanchez appears...
That's false, the only reason they got an extra point attempt was because a roughing the kicker penalty gave them a new set of downs. You can't say a play in the 3rd quarter decided the game, many other plays made before the end of it.
Shaping up to be a hell of a stretch run.
Not to pour vinegar on the wound here, but I've said in the past Moss would be a huge loss.
Pats problem IMO is they have to do a lot to mask their weaknesses. Their running game doesn't threaten anybody, they've had marginal success in the draw...
But in the same breath, you think the Jets team that came out of the bye against the Packers is the team for the rest of the season and are beatable.
It's funny how only the Pats get a rosy spin on their performance, but the rival teams, mainly the Jets, that is who they are when they struggle.
It's really not hard to figure out.
Revis is out, Wilson plays more, with Revis back, Wilson doesn't need to play as much.
Not sure where some of you got the "5th cornerback role" from, Wilson is playing behind Coleman, who is now playing #3, and deserves to be.
McCourty is playing because the Pats have nothing better
The Pats are horrible in pass defense, ranking 30th in the league
McCourty and Wilson have had their share of rookie growing pains, both have made some plays.
McCourty continues to start because he has to, and has probably been able to...
Does that change the spin from some of the Pat homers here that are looking for justice in the wake of the Patriot drafting criticism in recent years, while at the same time want to rush to judgement on two players selected in this past year's draft, having only played 6 games in their NFL...
Jets fans have trashed Pats drafts because they deserve to be trashed, does the McCourty pick change that?
Wilson isn't playing because he has Revis and Cromartie ahead of him, do you think McCourty would be starting if Revis and Cromartie were playing on the Pats? The only reason McCourty...
Revis is back healthy, kind of makes sense that Wilson's role would be reduced.
And since Pat fans seem to be oogling over themselves for the Pats taking McCourty over Wilson, it sure doesn't seem McCourty is helping with that pathetic Pats passing defense.
Pats fans can't be that dumb?
Except the part that he has played like a scrub. Just one little minor detail. Since you like to quote Gruden, Jaws, and of course the biggest Patriot buttswab, King so much, they have all said he's playing at a pro bowl level, and has been a big reason why the Jets haven't missed Revis as...
The implications made by you and others is that the Jets will implode, that Sanchez is a mirage, and that the Jets faded last year, all wrong, all asinine, and all desperate brands of spinning.
Different personnel, different team, and you actually had a running game. The coaches that ran that offense are also now in KC.
You are fooling yourself if you think the Patriots, as a one-dimensional team right now, without Moss to stretch a defense, and set up the running game, are a top 5...
