I mean the Patriots could totally surprise everyone and take a shot at a guy like Lee Evans and he'll come out and have a great year but the Patriots have gone that route the past couple of years and it just hasn't worked out. Most people thought Ocho Cinco would be a sure thing.
The same quality football team that's always come up short of winning the big one since 04. If you're cool with just getting to the playoffs and getting bounced or going to the superbowl and coming up short then cudos to you but I'd prefer to see them go all the way.
In 24 hours of free agency Colston is gone, V-Jax is gone, Garcon is gone, Wayne is gone, Meahem is gone and Josh Morgan is gone. You guys just don't get it do you, if you want a quality free agency then you have to start courting them right from the get go.
so you're saying that when they had the oppurtunity to draft Ingram, Amukamara, Jon Baldwin or even trading up a couple of picks to grab Ryan Kerrigan (who was taken just one pick before the Patriots) that at that moment you said, NO!!! take Nate Solder. How dare you call me out you hypocrite...
kid the whole point of what I typed is that 07 was the ONLY year they weren't cheap. Try actually reading the article before disagreeing with me with something I am right about. You know they haven't spent any money on anyone since 07, you're wrong, they are cheap and there's more people on this...
Do you really think that the Patriots will draft a receiver early and rely on him to be a big contributor from day one? I don't and I'm sure no one else does. It's the PATRIOTS dude, they've never drafted a receiver high that has panned out at all let alone draft one that they can rely upon to...
per Schefter: Brandon Lloyd will meet with the 49ers.
I've had a feeling all along the Patriots would some how blow signing Brandon Lloyd and it could very well be on the verge of happening. The 49ers will offer him more money and The Patriots will be stuck once again with Ocho and Branch...
Why would Manning even want to go to Denver. They have an ok defense and crap at receiver. Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker are both good but when you compare what he would have in Miami (Marshall) and Arizona (Fitzgerald) then you would take those two over anything in Denver in a heartbeat...
An NFL draft mystery
Just read this today and I like it. Webb is a fantastic young cornerback and would help the Patriots more than Mike Wallace. A secondary including Webb, McCourty,Arrington, Moore and Dowling looks very good. Webb is certainly worthy of giving up the 31st pick.
Maurice Morris would be a solid signing for the Patriots at running back if Green-Ellis's price tag gets too high. He is a very good veteran running back who's been the Lions safety net for Jahvid Best the past couple of years. Morris also like Green-Ellis never fumbles. Morris has fumbled more...
Don't forget the patriots signed a similar player to Wallace in donte stallworth to a six year 30 million dollar contract. If the patriots really like a player they'll pay him.
And how did they know that Weller would fit in the system when they signed him? This fit the system stuff is another crock. You would think randy moss, who can't run routes, would be a terrible fit for the patriots but it didn't turn out that way. A lot of people use the system as an excuse but...
Pats are one of the few teams that have the cap space to get Weller and Wallace. The patriots aren't going to give Weller 6 years, I have doubts they twould even give him five. Maybe Weller takes one for the team and signs for less if the patriots have a chance to get Wallace. Weller is one of...
When did I say drafting is better than free agency? I said if the patriots make a play for a receiver then they should make it for a young one because they suck at drafting receivers.
