3rd down defense still lacking after Tavon Wilson, special team standout, drafted. Or maybe I just don't understand the changes that have been made, lmfao.
You know what popped into my intoxicated mind once the shock wore off?
Kayne West on stage at an awards show saying "George Bush hates black people".
Bill Belichick hates draft junkies.
scheme only takes you so far. Last year proved that. What changes have been made so far this offseason to prevent the defense from getting picked apart on passing downs?
Hopefully we draft an athlete tonight, that's pretty much all I'm saying. Unless you really think Hightower is the answer to...
Jones' lack of production could be because he only weighed 245 until this past year, which he was injured for part of.
I'd like to see him add another 10 pounds, playing primarily 43 DE. Should be an above average run stopper and apply plenty of pressure, without taking himself out of plays...
I guess I'd be happy with another udfa of Tarp's caliber, but we were lucky he chose the Pats last year. Maybe there's some udfa oversized safeties as well, hopefully, if this pass defense need isn't addressed in the 2nd.
Is Hightower even fast enough to stay on the field on 3rd down? Spikes certainly isn't.
The Pats biggest weakness last year was was 3rd down defense. I suppose Hightower could compete to play 4-3 end on 3rd downs as well as Jones.
Tarpinian is our only above average coverage linebacker on...
Dunlap is a full year or two younger than Cunningham, and is more likely to improve even after getting 9.5 sacks in 11 games.
Dunlap was and will be stronger against the run.
The one edge Cunningham had and will have is agility. His short shuttle times were elite, and Dunlap's were not...
Apology accepted. You went Jersey Shore based on too small a sample size in a thread specifically about Ted Larsen and our deep draft class.
I migrated over to the Planet after Mayo Clinic left, then back to boston.com, then back here for draft talk, without first re-affirming my vows to BB...
Man, how many pissy little beetchs are on this site.
I don't recall ever having any beef with Box, and figured he was one of the top posters. Still waiting for an explanation for stupid self Box. Feel free to apologize, today or in the morning.
Cripes. And how the fck is it arrogant to...
Our 6th round pick, Ted Larsen, has started the past 10 games at left guard for Tampa Bay. I believe he was considered a high upside project on draft day, having little experience on the OL.
I guess we kept Ohrenberger instead at final cuts.
Just one more example of the great draft BB...
See my post about Greg Romeus, and trying to find another Dunlap type, which is the prototype BB 3/4 OLB physique, btw.
Length plus power plus speed is the goal.
