From Jeff Howe this AM regarding the Patriots’ GM situation and Eliot Wolf in particular:
“In-house candidates Eliot Wolf and Matt Groh have also been under consideration. If it’s Wolf running the show, expect the Patriots to give a long, hard look at drafting a left tackle with the No. 3...
They deserve to get roasted. Strange has potential to be a good player for them. In fact, he was someone I thought they should target in round 3 or round 4. I even could have lived with him at 54. However, this is such bad value at 29 it’s absurd. It’s like they panicked after Johnson and Green...
He’s leaving now because it’s clear he has final say/personnel control. He wasn’t getting that in Indianapolis.
Frankly, I’d be surprised if the new OC is anyone but BOB. I’d be even more surprised if the new player personnel director is anyone but Eliot Wolf.
Take it for what it’s worth. James Stewart from 98.5 is hearing the receiver may be Nelson Agholor. He mentioned this on the radio and posted it to Twitter.
He’s got decent sources, so who knows.
