No offense but you probably know very little about Irish people. Irish Americans are so removed from the people of Ireland these days...this is why there is a certain level of resentment toward Americans that go over to Ireland.
This is obvious from how offended you are by those "stereotypes"...
You said English people are the last people that should be deciding what Irish people do and dont find offensive. You're implying that you, as an American, have more rights than an Englishman.
And for your information, the people of England and Ireland are close and most dont even understand...
I think you have just showed yourself up there!
You can't cry about negative stereotypes and then start stereotyping me based on my nationality (despite the fact Im actually a quarter Irish).
Good day...
Sorry mate...but stop being so damn oversensitive.
It was just a bit of fun. Saying the Irish drink a lot is not a "negative racial stereotype"...I'm pretty sure most Irish people are pretty proud of it like the Brits are.
And I dont know where the hell you live...but if you think there is...
From what I saw there was a huge number of fans from other teams all there cheering against the Patriots. The neutrals turned up, saw their Buccaneer flags and decided to cheer for them.
I agree with you though, the British Patriots fans were too quiet.
Tonight was the first ever full Football game I have seen and it was awesome. Everything about the experience was amazing.
The drunk American fans were all very polite and had a great spirit about them :D
GO PATS!
I'm so damn excited for Sunday. I will probably never get the chance to see the Patriots ever play again so this is pretty special for me.
I just hope that all the players arent taken off by the 3rd quarter because Im sitting at 1 end of the field!
Well I actually started supporting the Patriots because of their name and the cultural ties that New England has with Old England.
Taking into account I know a few people that became patriots fans for the same reason...and also taking into account that your average person doesn't even know...
Getting into the UK with a criminal history is a lot easier than getting into the States. And...despite "equality"...I'm pretty sure exceptions would be allowed based on the circumstances.
The first time I ever heard about the revolutionary war was during an episode of the rugrats. I had no idea why the British and the Americans were fighting!
Like the other guy said...history during school consists of the monarchy until you get to 14 where you then spend the next 3 years...
Thanks a lot, really appreciate it!
I couldn't reply to your message because I have under 15 posts
And gameday is usually gamenight for me over here lol
I tried to watch the game on ESPN America but it wasnt showing for some reason?
I had to get up today and watch the highlights on youtube and I was very disappointed we didnt manage to win :(
Does anybody know where UK fans can watch the patriots game? Do they show them online?
Thanks
What's up guys I'm new to the patriots and to American Football in general. I Started watching a few games on TV and fell in love with the New England Patriots! (Partly because I'm from England lol).
Cant wait for the Broncos game! Take it easy guys.
