Thanks. And I agree...I forgot to mention in my long writeup that I noticed on a couple of early trips to the redzone, that if Welker had been in the slot, we would have been down a couple of TD's early, and you guys would have won by 4 TD's. I dont have a doubt about that.
Getting this one over with.
Overall great game for the Pats. Beat the Falcons. Played harder. Controlled the ball. Kept our offense off the field. Took away Turner by keeping the ball the entire 3rd quarter.
Was right about some things. Wrong about others.
Did force the Pats to kick...
Alright. Prediction time.
For one of the few times in my life, I am optimistic about the Falcons ability. That uncharted optimism is how I am coming to my prediction today. I have the score along with a few player predictions, etc.
Score- Falcons 34 Patriots 23 (although the game will seem a...
Nah. I plan to come on here and post a prediction (to the Falcons/Patriots thread, not to muddle up your board) tomorrow before the game, including predictions on a few players. I will probably be wrong about all of it, but I will go with my gut feeling.
Then after the game (or Monday) I will...
Thanks dude.
Although I have to admit, figuring the kind of opposing teams fans you probably typically have invade your site, I am taking this as the equivalent of getting a pat on the back for winning a medal at the Special Olympics. But a compliment is always nice. :)
Winning makes it easy to fill up a stadium. Unfortunately, the Falcons have never even had back to back winning seasons, while you guys have dominated.
All I was trying to say was that the weather must be pretty damn bad up there (for any die hard fans to be passing up the tix). Then someone...
All I can say is when I read it an saw someone selling with the whole reason being the weather (in September) I figured you guys must have been prepping to build the Ark. As you said, your fans are supposed to be acclimated to December northeastern weather.
Plus, we have gotten more rain here...
Backpedals...
But...uh...it doesnt have to be raining NOW for Turner to know....uh....yeah...I didnt know that.
The way some people on this site were acting I assumed it was already terrible weather up there. Its crap here. You have people trying to sell their tickets for less than face value...
I think the Falcons could actually be the more focused team in this one. They circled this game on their calendars when the schedule came out...we all did. Its a "statement game" for the Falcons, if you will. The intensity has been building up for this game for a while now down here in Atlanta...
Re: FoxSports Preview, Falcons at Patriots
If the Pats choose to run the ball more often, going against their tendencies to pass most of the time, they could have some real effectiveness...as many Falcons fans are saying on my home site.
A few of things to consider:
#1- The Falcons, on paper...
Cant speak for everyone. Only myself..and my pals that used to be avid readers when he seemed to cover more national topics. Seems like he used to use a lot more random mixed bag articles...and now he does these single topic, typically focused on a specific team in the Boston area. Whatever...
Neglected to mention I have been flipping back and forth b/n WEEI and 98.5 Sports Hub. Hard to tell which is better. Didnt get in early enough in the week to hear the presser with Belichick though.
Ah...time for his article again. Must be a little piece of heaven for you guys.
For the rest of us outside of the New England area, I read his articles kinda like my dog hears me when I talk:
"Blah Blah Blah, Boston, Blah Blah Blah, Patriots, Blah Blah Blah, My dad, Blah Blah Blah, Celtics...
Great info! Thanks! Yeah, I had heard he is a great guy to talk to when the mike isnt in his face...but damn what a monotone voice during interviews!
I might need to check out those books. Actually, I almost checked out one of them last week. I was choosing two books (I do audio books on my...
If the Falcons win this week, how long with the dramatic drop in newborns being named "Ryan" in the New England area last?
*rimshot* ;)
...but their might be a degree of truth to it...but only probably for a month until you guys are back on top.
Havent checked out you guys schedule, but this is the start of a gauntlet for the Falcons. 4 of the next 5 on the road and all against potential playoff teams.
