    Curran:Loss all on McCourty

I think McCourty played fairly well except for a few plays. He should have made the interception and he definately miss-played the deep ball on the final Ravens drive. He looked like Butler or Wilhite on that play, just grabbing the WR. I put the loss on the Offense not excuting in the 4th...

    No Pressure Whatsoever

I think there is a lot O-Line holding going on this year. You could see a bunch of Patriots getting pulled just as the were breaking free from blocks. Flacco did an excellent job getting rid of the ball just before pressure got there and also rolling out away from the pass rush. I was more...

Nate Solder Absolutely Destroying Pro Bowler Cameron Wake

Wake comes in at weird angles often close to the ground like a gopher or something. Solder played it smart by just pushing him to the ground and falling on top of him.

Kick returning with the new rules

I think the Patriots special teams have gone down hill since Brad Sealy left to go to the Browns. So far this pre-season the special teams have looked bad, particularly the blocking on returns. This could cost the Patriots some games if it doesn't get better.

    James Sanders cut

Re: James sanders cut (merged) I think the safety position hasn't been a real strength since Rodney Harrison and Eugene Wilson were the starters. I'm surprised Sanders has been cut since the Patriots don't appear to have better options right now. Maybe they'll give Sharper a look.

    Interesting Notes on Adalius Thomas

Parcell's would be putting a gas can above Adalius Thomas's locker asking if anything is left in the tank at this point.

Will Tate be active this Sunday?

We may see Isaiah Stanback at WR since he was also a QB and probably is smart enough to pick up the offense quickly. Nunn is also a possibility.

Which former Patriot now a Bronco will you be wishing was still here?

Gaffney , they could really use him with Welker missing games.

Week 5 TV Maps Are Out

The 1PM games in the Boston area look real bad: OAK vs NYG DAL vs KC

Brandon Meriweather is now an elite safety

Meriweather was making plays all over the field and must have led the team in dishing out big hits. He is making progress for sure. I wasn't sure what to think of him his first couple seasons

    Darius Butler - Props

I agree Butler had a good game, he had tight coverage and made good adjustments to the ball. He has the speed and fluid movement to earn a starting job before the season is over. I think he is going to be very good.

    Ravens Week Discussion

I'm concerned about the Patriots WR depth with Moss and Welker banged up it is a much bigger drop-off than the last couple years. I wish Gaffney and Kelley Washington were still with the Patriots. Edelman is getting better and Galloway is a maybe a 4th or 5th receiver at this point. I'm not sure...

Football Outsiders: NEP Defense is tougher than you think.

The Falcons will be the toughest test so far with their strong running game and good passing game. I'm optimistic.

    Linebackers and Belichick's Defense

I think the Patriots have done some statistical analysis as to where money is best spent. The best cover corners (Samuel, Law etc..) have demanded huge contracts that didn't fit in with the budget. With the increased emphasis on defensive holding plus interference penalties the Patriots seem to...

    The Defense-after a preseason and 2 games

The Patriots defense needed to get younger and faster and I think they've done that. As the new players gain experience the Defense will improve. Guyton is going to be a good player for a long time. Mike Wright looks healthy again. Butler made a great tackle on a screen pass knifing through 3...

    The problems with Patriots

I think the Patriots ceded the initiative to the Jets defense somewhat. Instead of spreading out the Jets with 4 or 5 WRs they stayed in max protection a lot making Faulk and the TEs into blockers. The lack of adjustments reminded me of Bledsoe running the Zampese offense when the WRs were...

Comcast Now Offering NFL Red Zone in MA on ch 287

I have Comcast in Quincy but don't get the NFL network or Red Zone. It costs an extra $10 / month.

    Pats thinking about Brooks

Brooks has been a great player over the years but has never played in the Patriots system. I think Guyton can do the job plus Adalius Thomas is versatile enough to switch if needed. Maybe bring back Tank Williams if they need depth. Tank was learning to play LB.

    OT: Bills release Langston Walker

I think the Bills O-Line is in trouble with all the changes. It will take them a few games to get it together. I hope the Patriots Defense blitzes a lot to keep the pressure on Edwards. I see a lot of turnovers for the Bills in this game.

Slater Haters: Are we undervaluing STs?

I didn't think Slater should have been on the team last year but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt if the coaching staff thinks he's improved enough this year. His mistakes seem to warrant getting cut. The special teams haven't had top flight gunners since Larry Whigam and Tebucky...
