Hype means nothing, Hype is for fans. I remember Matt Leinart and Brady Quinn having a lot of hype too, means nothing when the guys calling the shots make their decision.
We don't need Raji, but he would be a welcomed addition to the Dline where he could spell both the DE's and NT's. That...
I don't care much for practice notes, i take Maualuga over Cushing 10 times out of 10 times. When it's game time and not an allstar practice Maualuga is the guy opposing offenses are thinking about, not Cushing, though he is also very good.
William Moore, Clint Sintim, Vontae Davis, Michael Johnson, Beanie Wells, Knosean Moreno, Lesean McCoy, Brandon Pettigrew, Jeremy Maclin, Darius Heyward-Bey, Tyson Jackson.......anyone of the above in the 1st round is ok with me
Just like a kid out there? people usually say that to express how much fun they have while playing the game. I don't think he meant that in a negative way.
DJ is a good player, but he is not an elite player. He may be slightly better than the CB options NE would have at the beginning of round 2. (Alphonso Smith, Macho Harris, Darius Butler) value wise, he's not a good pick in round 1. I'd go in a different direction.
I don't like DJ Moore in the 1st round, i would prefer Macho Harris or Alphonso Smith in round 2.
I like Sean Smith as a player, but he is a CB/S tweener so i don't think he can come in and make an impact at strong safety which is the safety position NE needs. If William Moore is available in...
Curry is the best all around LB in the draft, we won't even get a sniff of him picking #23. I think Clint Sintim, Michael Johnson and Rey Maualuga are our best possibilities for LB at #23.
As an athlete and on potential, Davis is top 10. He has good size, athletic ability, speed, and can tackle. However, his midseason benching does create for some concern. He still put up good numbers this season, and before the benching he was a top 15 pick, and some even graded him above Malcolm...
Spikes had a solid game, he is the leader and arguably best player on the Florida defense, Oklahoma knew that and stayed away from him as much as possible. He is bigger than Mayo, and would be a nice compliment. What some call being a "punk" others would call "passion" and playing with emotion...
I agree, i don't think he goes to Detroit. However they are one of the better possibilities. I think the three best possibilities are 1.Minnesota 2.Chicago 3.Tampa Bay..The reason is because they all have solid team's and are a good QB away from contending. Detroit is so far away i think they...
Re: Detroits #1 pick in the draft?
They will have a lot of impact, if more underclassmen come out, team's who know they are 2-3 years away from competing might prefer to keep their picks and just use one on a rookie QB. The odds of a top 10 drafting team trading for Cassel may decrease...
High School doesn't mean anything to who? you? ok, but it does mean something to scout's and NFL personnel. Yes, players stocks are always falling and rising, at this point it is ALL OPINION no matter what "site" you go on. ESPN has him ranked #1, which also means nothing. We all have access to...
"What makes Andre Smith so special? Other than he's a junior and got himself suspended from his Bowl game, which his team went on to lose in an upset?"
Well he was the top high school senior of his class, and he is the #1 rated OT and player coming out of college this season...aside from that...
i like Hakeem Nicks the best, i think his speed is underrated, his agility and running ability are very good, good size, route running, strength, hands, and he's a playmaker. Cosby also looked very good vs. Ohio State.
If you're looking for a top 10 pick for Cassel, the best option would be to trade him to Detroit for a 2009 2nd round pick, and a 2010 1st round pick. Detroit should be drafting top 10 next year, after going 0-16 this season. I believe Detroit would actually consider that.
I highly doubt NE would even want the 1st overall pick. If they did aquire it the only realistic and logical choice would be OT Andre Smith from Alabama. It would be a reach to take any of the LB's, CB's, S's, or DL's. We don't need anymore QB's though i believe Sam Bradford could throw 25TD's...
