    Crable: Redshirt?

I really do not follow the draft that closely but today I was having coffee at a Borders store and looked through some of those draft magazines and Crable had some great really great comments about him suggesting he could even be an instant pass rushing success and move right into a starting role.l

OT: Fred Davis may be the biggest sleeper of the draft

If that had been Belichick, would the kid be on a plane paying his own way home? :D

This year's UDFA to make the team?

I think that most coaches make their decisions by what they see on the closed practice field rather than what they see in pre season games. Pre season games really dont tell as much about a player as what the coach sees in close up practice sessions. In fact on many occasions we as fans...

    Who will be the Punter

Point well taken. Pats usually have used the punter though. But you are correct in your comment.

    Who will be the Punter

One of the major issues of deciding keeping which punter will be his ability to hold for placekicks.

    When is the wedding? :D

This year's UDFA to make the team?

That makes a lot of sense. Over the past several years the Pats have been very fortunate to have who I believe is the premiere long snapper in the NFL, Lonnie Paxton. He has been the mainstay of the special teams kickers, punter and place kickers, and as one can recall over these years...

Drafting is an art, not a science

Bingo!!! If not for J R Redmond, all that happened after that including all the Super Bowl appearances land wins might not have happened. J R Redmond deserves a spot in Patriot's History for what he did on that final drive, in particular the play where he saw the first down marker and then...

Drafting is an art, not a science

Calling them "mediocre" in round 2 is giving them the benefit of the doubt. It is very amazing how for whatever reason they suck inthe 2nd round. Are they all out on a pee break after sitting theer for a long time in round 1? :D

Drafting is an art, not a science

You took the words right out of my mouth. I was going to post that and then saw your comment. The jump from college to the NFL game is perhaps the biggest of all the challenges for a player making the change from college to professional. While other sports represent a major change in...

That is some really good stuff, especially the one about the cab driver.

This year's UDFA to make the team?

I get misidentified quite often. Do you?

This year's UDFA to make the team?

Eh? .......... And why are you sticking your tongue out. Does that have some sort of sinister or sexual meaning to it? I mean, in your post you mention relations and stick out your tongue at the same time. Coincidence?

This year's UDFA to make the team?

And well you should. Whatever the hell that means. :D

This year's UDFA to make the team?

I tend to agree about these two, especially Guyton. Some people say they want to see how certain players look in pre season before they decide and I say that is about as useless as tits on a bull. Unless coaches play some of these 3rd and 4th teamers against 1st and 2nd team opposition...

Ryan Krause and Terry Cousin still available

Cousin is a 5-9 CB who is 33 years old and has only had 12 interceptions and only 62 passes defended in 11 NFL seasons. Why would they want to look at him? Just curious, nothing more.

OT: Sheldon Brown unhappy over Samuel signing

Re: Semi OT: Eagles' CB Sheldon Brown (reportedly)unhappy over Samuels signing Asante Samuel is a slightly above average defensive back who has very good instinct on when to cut inside the receiver on out routes. Other than that he gets beaten quite often, as he is not a good one on one...

    Draft grades are in

I didn't find the comments to be that hard on the Pats. In fact I think it was better than what I expected. I disagree about the comment made regarding Wheatley. Merriweather is being very much underestimated. I believe he will make a major contribution this season.
