Speaking of Saints wide receivers who probably won't be on the team next year, what do people think of Lance Moore? He's an RFA, but he'll probably get tendered low since the Saints are desperate for draft picks--I think they only have their first rounder and then the fourth rounder and below...
That would be a colossal mistake IMO. I've never seen a more widespread fanbase than the Saints--almost everyone I've met down here is a fan of the Saints. Plus home games means visiting fans, which inevitably means more money for those of us working in the French Quarter--which helps our...
A lot of the stuff that people say at Football Futures just makes me go "whaaa?". These are spectacular examples. Why in God's name would someone think the Pats want LaDanian Tomlinson? Do they really think the Pats would trade a first and a fourth for an aging running back? Really?
Utter...
This is the thing that hurts the most in all of this. I don't think the NFL should change anything regarding the playoff seedings or tiebreakers, since they're probably as fair as they're going to get. However, the playoff teams, regardless of record, should be picking in the bottom twelve...
Re: Next season's schedule
I'm obscenely excited for the New Orleans game. It's the first time I'll get to see the Pats in person.:D
It's going to be an interesting season. It's potentially a very tough schedule, depending on how everything shakes out this offseason.
The only possible consolation from all this is that the next few hours and tomorrow morning are going to be absolutely hysterical. I wish I was at work right now.
On the other hand, watching Dallas piss this game away (and possibly our playoff hopes) was almost physically painful. I wasn't...
Now I'm excited--looks like the Pats will be coming here to New Orleans. It'll be the first time I get to see them live. :D Now I'll just need to pick up a new jersey...
From what people were saying at the game (I was there), Payton wanted Deuce to break two records: his 54-touchdown record, which he got, and the franchise record for points scored, which is what would have happened had Deuce gotten into the endzone on the 2 pt. try. It is quite possibly his...
Re: Colts won't decide on roof or no roof till 1 hour before the game
Actually, if you want to get real technical, the Saints had no home games that year, since the Dome was so badly damaged. They played in San Antonio and at LSU's stadium, with the team offices in San Antonio, I think...
I'm still thinking 11-5 or 10-6. I went with the wild card choice because I'm thinking they'll at least get a wild card, but a divisional championship could be possible.
That, right there, is what I think is really deciding the playcalling. I'm sure the coaches aren't anxious for another injured quarterback. Cassel's getting hit enough as it is.
Of course, I haven't had the opportunity to see the game yet, so I guess I shouldn't be commenting on it.
This one certainly sounded miles different from the one Welker did for Patriots Friday. Both were entertaining, though--especially that last bit where he takes off in the middle of the Chargers-Broncos question.
Reiss is reporting that Tom tore both the MCL and the ACL. They have to wait for the MCL to heal (4-6 weeks) before they can operate to repair the ACL. Then 6-9 months of rehab.

I'm pretty biased, but I'm excited to see how Matt Forte does in Chicago. I'm really not fond of the Bears, but I think Forte's going to be a good one.
I'll happily watch all of the 07 season's games up to the AFC Championship game, especially now, with absolutely no normal football to watch (and how strange is that Arena football thing?). The AFCCG I'll watch occaisonally, but I still can't watch any part of the Super Bowl. Still too...
There's a thread for it on the team forums, I believe. "New Contract Request" thread, or something like that.
Otherwise, good game people. The next one'll be tough; the Crimson Auha is a very good team, though it look like we match up well against them at first glance. I'm pretty limited...
