This year's draft and free agency appear to mimic one another. Our top 3 offensive needs are QB, OL, and WR. Free agency is weak on OL and QB, but some pretty respectable receivers can be signed like (as mentioned) Higgins and Pittman. If we could land a decent WR in free agency, that would...
Funny to think that before the season started, I really was hoping that Jrue would take this role. But I agree with you 100%. White just seems to be the smartest player and best play maker on the floor whenever he is out there.
I find it both understandable and frustrating that the ball HAS to go to JT for the final shot in close games. I know that they want to ingrain that finisher mentality into Tatum. But, there are four other viable shooting options on the floor. Draw up a damn play to hit the open man. It's...
Let's quit picking on my boy Jayden's weight. Damnit he's 5 lbs. heavier than MHJ ;)
Sorry, I once the skinny kid to get picked last for pick up games. Gotta vent
That has been a point that I've been trying to drive across to my friends for years! It is like Heart burying Ann Wilson behind a Liberace sized piano in the 80's.
Then I get a bunch of strange looks with the inevitable "Who's Lily?" and "what commercial?" I thought I was the only one.
Wish this game was televised down here in NOLA today. For a game that has no repercussions whatsoever on the playoffs, this game has some drama weighing on it.
First, and foremost, the Jete suck!
A lot will change after the game today, and the simulator I'm using makes some crazy picks. However, I made a trade with NYG to move down to 5 and pick up their first 2nd round and ended up with this
5 Caleb Williams QB | USC
34 Xavier Legette WR | South Carolina
39 Troy Fautanu...
I was working IT for a dot com before the bubble burst, and stayed glued to the Patriots newsgroup on Usenet. At the time, the newsgroup was a big nag-fest between Pats fans and Jets trolls (eff you Bob Jensen). The Jete stole Parcells and Curtis Martin from us, and apparently won the...
I wonder if the NFL intentionally leaves the camera lenses showing rain drops and foggy in some of these games. I'm no AV guy, but with the advancements in technology these days, why are so many of these views terrible?
This is such a weird topic. I totally understand both viewpoints. If Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, or Babe Ruth were available in this draft, I would say "Yes, let's lose to get that guy". It makes sense.
Since we don't know if any of those guys are available, Hell no! I want my...
well, given how bad I've been picking this year of "Parity is Awesome"! I appreciate the gaff @Ian
Not sure how happy I am about being included in a list with @Tunescribe since he's an obvious Jete Plant. Just kidding Tunes;)
It's the opposite. Weaker strength of schedule means higher draft pick. I know it doesn't make a lot of sense since it seems to promote tanking. Washington's SoS will raise simply by playing a better team.
Another drawback is that he is one of he top rated OL players in free agency this year. We gotta get some OL help in at least one of the first 3 rounds, because Trent Aint It
Strength of schedule determines tie breakers. Commandos got Dallas next week, we got the Jete. So even if both teams lose, we'll get the 2 over Washington.
However, we are not losing to the Jete. I mean, it's the Jete for God's sake!
I'm not 100% sure, but if we end up tied with the Commanders, the tie-breaker comes down to strength of schedule over head to head matchup. As of this week, their SoS is .515 and ours is .519 which would give them the better pick. However, they have Dallas, San Fran, and the Jete remaining...
