I definitely remember how it was before. As a Red Sox fan, 1986 and 2003 felt like death. I especially remember the day after Boone's homerun. I work in Boston and it was like someone close to everyone and myself just died. Hopefully, a sporting event will not make me feel that way again...
I know how I would of felt. I did feel deeply depressed in 2003. I am sure that this would have been similar. However, I now realize that the loss really shouldn't effect my quality of life. The thought of taking abuse from non Patriots fans does not thrill me. But so be it. But, don't get me...
A lot of posts are of Pat's fan saying how depressed they are. After the Sox lost to the Yankees in 2003, I was depressed for several weeks. It was devastating. Last year I was diagnosed with cancer and hopefully cured. It put a lot of things in perspective. One thing I know for sure, I will not...
I do love the Pats. However, I almost lost my life to cancer last year. So, I will not let the Pats loss get me depressed. I am happy that I was around to even watch the game. I was also able to attend a playoff game which would have been impossible to six months ago.
I felt like crap for 20 minutes. Maybe a little less. Then I realized that this is just a football game. I looked forward to the parade and opening day next year. I also looked forward to having bragging rights. However, I am more happy to be alive and healthy and appreciate what I do have...
I started following the Pats in the 70's. I was amazed when both the Pats and Sox won it all in 2004. I would have never have dreamed that in my wildest dreams.
Re: IF Pats win SB: Boston major sports teams 2 1/2 -1 1/2 v. New York sports all-tim
When the Pats moved from Boston they were renamed the New England Patriots. Rightfully, the Giants should be named the New Jersey Giants. They are the biggest joke in the NFL.
Re: IF Pats win SB: Boston major sports teams 2 1/2 -1 1/2 v. New York sports all-tim
Why? Why? Why? Why do people point out that the Pats play away from Boston. Noone ever claimed that they play in Boston. They are the "New England" Patriots, not the "Boston" Patriots. Also, Boston has a lot...
Re: Just saw a picture of Brady in N.Y with a cast boot on his foot.
I first thought Photoshop when I saw the pic. Look at the shadowing around the legs. It doesn't look right.
The only traffic that I have seen worst than getting into Gillette is the traffic getting out. Your best bet is getting suite or club seats and going in thru the North Street exit. Other than that the train is a good choice. With the construction of Patriot place, just walking out of the stadium...
