I'm certainly no expert, but when you play with a big lead and force the opposing team to pass in order to keep up, you tend to play more nickel and dime defense and thus concede the run between the 30s, no? I don't have stats to back it up but to best of my recollection, BB does not care which...
Just watched last night's show on Showtime. They spent about 10 minutes from the start of the show showing the highlights with BB mic'd up/heaping praise and telling BB stories. Was pretty good TV for Pats fans. Catch it tonight on NFLN
Considering the ridiculous success of the Patriots since 2001, and the well-known reputation they have earned for being a place where you have to work hardto stay on the roster, it's incredible to me that there are still teams where someone can go to get a break from all the hard work.
IMO, that's a not an "I'm leaving my job, so long" message, it's a "just in case they lose and you stop reading about the Pats for a few months, I just wanted to say thanks" message.
You don't want bars kicking everyone out immediately after the game. That puts all the angry (or happy) drunk people on the streets at the same time with all kinds of energy and emotion, BAD IDEA. If you stay open until 2:30 AM, they'll leave gradually and less mayhem will ensue.
Guessing he'll just rename the one he already has with a different set of vinyl letters which are pretty cheap. Does not seem like a guy that has to have the latest, greatest and biggest. When he bought VI rings it was by no means the biggest dual console boat in Grady White's lineup.
I suspect BB did not call the TO right away because he figured that's exactly what every other HC would do and what the Cards were expecting. They were out of TOs and could not afford a delay of game, so he wanted them to panic just like Seattle did at the end of SB49. When they didn't panic...
I read the forum posts here religiously but don't post much. I am proud to admit that I was at the opening day of training camp 2009 and noticed that number 11 was a standout. That said, I was not alone, everyone sitting around me were really impressed by his moves and energy. He went at...
John Grisham wrote a short piece of fiction about an American third string NFL QB that goes to Italy to play QB on a pro team. It's called "Playing For Pizza" It's a fast-paced fun book and an easy read. He writes about football pretty well.
I have to confess that I became a football/Pats fan...
Thanks for that, really brought back memories. I watched that game in a hotel room in a nice little town called Cornerbrook, Newfoundland, while on a business trip. It's probably my most memorable away-from-home game watching experience (other than attending games).
When I went there in '07, I pre-paid for a tailgate party thrown by the Patriots Fan Club of Rochester NY. Had a good time hanging with other Pats fans and it was nice not to have to bring/setup/tear-down my on tailgate stuff. Might want to look into something like that.
