I've got a plan to weed some of these people out. I've got the HD projector in my basement for a 90" screen with surround sound. The plan is to turn the sound up loud enough that you have to yell to talk to each other, meanwhile leaving the game on in the living room. This way the people who...
The oversimplification stems from the fact that each team, relative to their first half performance, has either improved or declined. The Patriots have declined from their first half while the Giants have improved. Therefore, a simple mind thinks that the Giants will win simply because they're...
They all look great to me, and I'm projecting onto a 90" screen. The one thing I've noticed is that the Fox surround sound is waaaaay better than the CBS surround sound. I barely notice it with CBS, but with Fox it sounds like I'm sitting in the middle of the crowd.
When I lived in San Diego for the '02 and '03 seasons, that was the only place I would go to watch the non-national Pats games. GREAT place to watch not just one game, but a bunch at once. Not only that, it's at a nice outdoor mall, so the lady friends have something to do if they don't want...
I think just going by the stats the Special Teams is pretty much even.
(All stats from NFL.com)
Kick Returns: Chargers by .3 yards per return
Punt Returns: Patriots by .6 yards per return
Field Goal Percentage: Chargers by 1%
Kickoff Length: Patriots by 1.7 yards per kickoff...
If you are able to find out where the brick will be laid, you can write a "name" like:
Patsy Ruleson
Or some other fake name and then color in the "y" and "son" with a marker or something after it's laid out, so it says:
Pats Rule
Some other ideas:
Patsie Winters In Indy!
Pats...
Ya, maybe LT will do the Tom Brady dance...err, the Tedy Bruschi dance...er, the Wes Welker dance...err...I guess the Patriots don't have a stupid dance that they took the time to name to make fun of.
I'm curious how the argument could be made for Favre for OPOY. I understand the MVP logic the voter used, although I don't agree with it. However, how can anyone claim in any way, shape, or form that Favre had a better offensive season than Brady did? How can that possibly be defended?
Re: Don Banks is an Idiot
I typically like Don Banks and find him even-handed in his articles, but this one has huge holes in it. It seems like the type of article that you write because you're bored with writing the same thing over and over again.
I understand the 6.1 ppg is a statistical...
Simple math...we're one of two teams that gets the benefits of playing the Jets and Dolphins twice each. However, unlike the Bills, we don't have a 16-0 team on our schedule twice.
Miami has a harder schedule than us because we get a 1-15 team twice and they get a 16-0 team twice.
My opinion/theory is that they were just selling out for the Brady/Moss record in the 2nd half because the game was well in hand. I think they'll treat the next game as more of a tune-up and play like we're used to them playing. And if that was the plan, it made sense to try and snag those...
So what's funny is that the Browns game really has no playoff implications, even though they're tied for a playoff spot right now. Tenn wins the tiebreaker with a win, loses it with a loss. So barring a Tenn tie, Cleveland's game means nothing. Pretty unique situation.
This guy must be a huge football fan. The celebration would be pretty short lived when the '72 Dolphins see the yellow flag for the illegal forward pass.
PF1996, you're not interested in discussing facts. You've made up your mind that some assinine things are true, and you're just going to keep kicking and screaming about it. You were going on and on in another thread about how the Jets O outperformed the Pats O, and yet I showed you that the...
I don't think it's fair to say Pennington outperformed Brady in the passing game.
Yards per pass:
Pats: 5.19. Jets: 4.65
Pennington never threw the ball farther than 7 or 8 yards for the most part, and that's not the Patriots' game any more. Brady could have made better decisions, but to...
No, I don't mean backups, I mean alternates. Koppen isn't an alternate, he'll be there regardless of whether anyone else gets injured.
Alternates are the guys who are next in line to go if someone backs out or can't play. There are usually three alternates chosen, I believe.
I've heard who the alternates are on most other teams, but I haven't seen a list of who on the Pats was named as a Pro Bowl alternate. Anyone seen a list like that or heard who was?
