Should Denver have kept Tebow?(merged-please no more)
From the Colts forums:
"Tim Tebow won a playoff game last year in OT with the same overrated team. Not only that, but he did it without two special teams TDs." "With 30 seconds left, the supposed GOAT would be expected to take the game in his hand and put it in the air. No way Brady isn't throwing there. Instead, they go to a conservative run and elect to punt the ball away. In OT a critical Peyton interception leads to the Ravens game winning FG drive. This shows that those years of post season disappointments in Indy wasn't just a Colts thing...it was largely a Peyton thing and its followed him to Denver. " |

Good lord. Are people legitimately that reactionary/stupid?

LOL. Neither Manning nor Tebow plays defense. Two special teams TDs and you lose? C'mon man!!!

I think any team who has a quarterback that takes you into the playoffs, and especially wins, should keep that QB for the next year. Tebow's no exception.
Especially when that QB had no off-season to practice a new type of NFL offense the coaches had little experience with. This year's avalanche of spread option offenses proves Denver could have been ahead of the game. Instead they took a step back. |

no lol, but it is fun to laugh about

Peyton is who he is based upon his regular season prowess. His post-season performances are ignored or excuses are made for it. Denver got a great regualr-season QB, but a 50/50 post-season QB AT BEST. Manning has a tough time winning the BIG games at EVERY level.

Those are taken from posts in the official Colts forum. Given that Manning gets credit for everything the offense does (one sportscaster said that the Denver offensive line made adjustments in the 2nd quarter, and that Manning must have played a big role in that, for example), he should also get credit for taking a knee with 30 seconds and two timeouts left, right?

It IS funny that Peyton didn't get as far in the playoffs this year as Tebow did the year before. :D

I said they shoulda kept Tebow as a joke.
Someone actually thinks this for real is, well, curious. Peyton looked his age near the end there though. |
