My daughter is undergoing open heart surgery for tetralogy of fallot at Children's hospital of Philadelphia. She's 10 weeks old and was born the day after the Seattle game at the same hospital. Her condition is moderate and the surgery is expected to go well but every bit of prayer helps.

Best wishes. My oldest gdaughter was emergency delivered early and then raced from Winchester Hospital to Boston Childrens with a rare condition of super accelerated heartbeat. The nurse picking her up in the ambulance had 4 kids and assured me she'd be fine. I didn't argue because he was bigger and more ripped than an NFL MLB. She was treated by a team of cardiac specialists all very excited to observe her condition. She's a tall healthy girl today.

From what I understand, it's the best hospital in the world for those types of procedures. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter.

We have 3 daughters and when our middle one was born also had issues that required surgery. I know exactly how you feel.
Stay strong for your spouse and stay strong for your child. Most importantly, know that she'll be fine and plan on having her home in no time!!! :) |
