We should all be so lucky as to be able to retire to a life of leisurely helping cover up murders.

Mixed emotions with this news. On one hand I am glad to see him go, and although he is a meathead he has been a formidible foe over the years and a great NFL LB.

On the other hand, I would've rather have seen him make this decision after the Ravens were eliminated from the tournament, as my concern would be that it will certainly add some more motivation to their playoff run.

Personally, I think that's a good thing. Let them play 'inspired football for Lewis', and take it all out on the Broncos. Hopefully they'll eliminate those donkeys as I'm getting nauseous already, hearing of Manning as the second coming of Jesus Christ.

I'll take Ravens at home over Broncos on the road any day.

As for Lewis himself.... - all I have to say is GOOD RIDDANCE!!

You beat me to it. Good riddance, indeed. It's nauseating hearing him revered as "the best leader in the NFL" and treated like a God in Baltimore.

Now if only Peyton had the good sense to do likewise ... :D

Great point.

I just hope it doesn't end up biting us in the ass if they lose. Then we'd have to play 2 tougher games vs. Houston and Denver anyway.

Oh well, nothing can be controlled anyway, so it will be whatever the football Gods have in store for the 2012 version of the NEP. No use worrying I guess.

I think they will blast the Colts, and not because of Ray Lewis or Joe Flacco. Ray Rice will put up 200+ yards vs. that soft run D.

I don't think that they will be able to score enough points to keep up with us or Denver in the next round though, since the Pats and Broncos will not allow Rice to go crazy.

How nice for Lewis to create a distraction for his teammates as they prepare for a playoff game...

I'm not following here.... the only road game we'd play would be in Denver, should the Ravens lose to them in the divisional round.

All other teams, would need to come to Foxboro.

While I certainly don't care for Lewis as a person, I do respect him as a football player.

My hatred for Lewis isn't even close to what it is for some of the other players such as Cromartie, Suggs, (maybe even Sherman) and about 1/2 the Pittsburgh Steelers entire team.
