I understand that just because you are an athlete doesn't mean you have to be a role model, but suggesting that he had coke in his possession, even in jest, is just a stupid ******* move.

Wish he wouldn't be on there but I don't really care. It seems the Twitter-verse usually brings only bad things for athletes. I am sure the Patriots have given an employee the task of following all their players' social media accounts so I am surprised, like the author, that the tweet is still up.

Good for him. People take this **** far too seriously but we live in the 'i want to be offended' days so everyone with a stick up their ass is gonna decide this is a huge scandal even though it was as obvious a joke as you can come across.

People have too much goddamn time on their hands if they're actually worried about what a professional athelete is tweeting.

It is a really stupid joke. He probably should use better judgement in his Tweets. That said, I really don't give a crap what he writes on his Twitter account.

Nothing to see here. Anyone who can't handle Spikes making jokes should either grow up enough to accept that some people have a more risque sense of humor than others or stop following his twitter and stories about it.

I can't believe some of you actually give a **** about this.

I haven't seen anyone respond who says they truly care about it. Thus far all have taken either (paraphrasing) "wish he didn't do it but I don't care" or "he can do whatever he wants. Get over it."

I don't care much about the dumb joke either. That being said, he put it up in public, therefore the public has the right to verbally crucify him for it if they want. In all, some of the public's reaction shouldn't come as a surprise to Spikes, the Patriots, or their fans.

Who is saying that the public doesn't have the right to be up in arms about it?

It's not a surprise but that doesn't make my eyes roll at any lower RPM.
