Patriots are averaging 35.8 PPG (2nd best all-time)
In the history of the NFL, only second to the 36.8 PPG of the 2007 Patriots.
Do you think there's a chance they surpass that mark? |

Without a true vertical wideout or an elite running back(at least not yet). Amazing.

System QB.

This offense is absolutely ridiculous. Actually, I believe they might be a tad underrated, even. I mean, 35.8 ppg is an astronomical number, most people talk about them being explosive, but they don't always realize what they are actually doing.

Ridley is an elite back. The problem is a combination of things, like today with BOTH starting gaurds out he was met in the backfield before he got the hand off on a number of occasions and had to use his moves just to get back to the line of scrimmage. There was NO inside running game today what so ever. The other problem, and it's a good one to have, is a HOF QB and elite weapons. Ridley is not a 25 touch a game bell cow that elite running backs get. He has been a very pleasant surprise this year and added much needed balance to make this the 2nd best offense in NFL history.

Second best is good enough for me. No shame in being second to the 2007 team.

I was really hoping the Pats would have scored into the 60's tonight. That would have been so awesome.

The amazing thing is, they haven't been 100% healthy all season either. Gronk hasn't been 100% yet, and left the game before it ended, Hernandez has missed half the season, our O-line has missed a bunch of time. Imagine the damage this team can do when 100% healthy. Hell, it seems like Edelman is 100% healthy and he goes into beast mode. I hope we see a bunch of games with the O at 100% strength.

I don't like this at all.
Scoring that much never seems to translate well in the post season. Just think about how many high scoring offenses were held to under 24 when they lost in the playoffs |
