Great graphic comparing the 2011 and 2012 teams at the halfway point.

Found this on http://www.reddit.com/r/patriots Surprised at a lot of this. We were getting more yards per rush with Ridley/BJGE last year than this year. Also that defensive passer rating of 96.2 was surprising as I didn't think that our pass defense was that much worse than last year. |

It's missing 2 key stats though - turnovers and 3rd down %. |

Tougher schedule remaining ahead than this time last year, but that's OK. Gonna be a fun second half.

Though only three games on the road. One trip to NY and two to FL. Nice easy travel schedule. We go to NYJ and MIA in back to back weeks, but only leave NE once in the final month. |

I like the difference in passing/running % and the yards per game for the mas well. I assume Brady is throwing less, but that may not be the case as their average number of plays may be up. May need to go to a little bit more running over the next couple months. to try and get that ratio to 60/40

+13 takeaway/giveaway vs even last year. Now that is a real change

Re: Great graphic comparing the 2011 and 2012 teams at the halfway point.
The yds /carry difference is prob. due to the fact that the PATS are running more
and hence the D's are not playing for a pass all the time like last year. That we are getting very good production from the running game is also saving TB's body! |
Re: Great graphic comparing the 2011 and 2012 teams at the halfway point.
That defensive ypc stat is incredible. They're only allowin 3.5 ypc? If the young players in the secondary get it together, the defense could be very solid by the end of the season
