Tom Brady's career stats

Yeah, I know, BB says stats are for losers, but....Tom will be 'climbing the charts' and passing some big names this year. Today alone, Tom needs 1 TD pass to pass John Elway into 5th place, 261 yards passing to pass Johnny Unitas for 13th place, and 13 completions to pass Joe Montana for 11th place in that category. We all already know that Tom belongs in the company with names like that. Now the numbers prove it.

I was looking at his stats the other day and was going to start a thread. If you look at his last 4 seasons (not counting the injured2008) he may have the best 4 years of stats that any QB has ever had, all things considered (including w/l)

Cool observation to which I would add that Tom does this in a "cold weather" environment. He threw all those TD's against Tenn in the snow!

For one comparison: Drew Brees racks up huge #'s as well. Not to take anything away from him, but >8 games a year are inside!

I was about to say this. 4584 yards, 38 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, and 13 wins a year. WOW.

And the one season that draws these #s down (3900 yards) was the one where he was the only ever unanimous MVP.

He also just needs 21 yards to break 40,000.

The most impressive stats are his 78% winning % best in NFL history and of course a playoff win he will have more playoff wins than any QB in history.

Of course a SB win seals his as the GOAT with 4SB wins & 6 Conf championships.

Everything else is noise.

I feel like we're becoming Indy fans, gushing over a QB's numbers like they matter. To me it's more about the wins and Lombardi trophies in the showroom, and although Welker took the blame for missing that pass last year, it was more Brady's mistake that took the last one away.

Basically, it looks like Brady's passing success has gone up in the second half of his career, but the team's playoff success has gone down. With or without any new rules from past victims or a better defense, if they continue to ignore the running game it will stay that way imho. With even the threat of a running game they could be deadly when it counts, in the playoffs.

If they do run the ball and still lose then I'll go back to being just a happy camper, but this pass happy baloney is ticking me off, especially since it hasn't really worked for anyone but Tom Brady and his numbers.
