Brian Hoyer Unclaimed, Per Ian Rapoport
Well, that's surprising. NFL teams baffle me.
Sign the beast. |

Now what does this say about the crowd raging that Belichick was too stupid to trade Hoyer for a pick?

Well, apparently that $1.9M salary was a bigger deal than we thought. It not only got him cut, but made him go unclaimed. I think he'll be a Chief.

Just another example of a fan base who overvalues their own players,. Everyone thought Kafka was another back up QB the league loved, yet he too went unclaimed. The truth is that everyone thinks "their" guy is the guy everyone wants. Well there were over 700 players that were waived on Friday. I'll be surprised if 10 were claimed. |

I don't think when he is cut that anyone has to pick up the existing contract? Not sure. As the previous poster said when there is an injury or 2 he will get picked up.
