Smartphone App Will tell who is paying for the Ad you are watching
Saw this on an Android blog I frequent and thought it was interesting.
The app works similarly to Shazam and Soundhog. For our non smartphone (iOS/Android) members, Shazam/Soundhog are apps you can put on your phone that when activated will listen to the song you are hearing (on a commercial, at a bar, on the radio etc) and tell you what the song is and who the artist is. Apparently Ad Hawk works similarly. Quote:

I clicked LIKE for the info ... not for the app ... privacy is all but gone ... I will be Amish very soon.

Re: Smartphone App Will tell who is paying for the Ad you are watching
Do any of us need an app to tell us that the ad is paid for by someone or group that has THEIR bets interests in mind?
On the real, this is kinda tight. |

I agree Icy - its a brave new world out there for those who wish to share everything.
HD - I agree one your first point. Ads are their interests, not generally yours. I may give it a whirl shortly just to see what kinda information it can provide. The idea, like Shazam and Soundhog, are pretty freaking sweet. |
