NFL on CBS announcer pairings

CBS has released its announcer pairings for the season and listed the announcers for weeks 1-4. The Patriots are only on CBS in weeks 1 and 4 (Fox week 2 and SNF week 3).

Info here.

God, just let me survive the Fox broadcasts. I'd like Simms and Nantz every week.

Arizona should be the only Fox game since SF is on SNF.

and the image quality stinks compared to CBS. Aikman is about all I can live with from FOX.

The Fox games week 2 are:

AZ-NE
Minn-Indy
TB-NYG
NO-Car
Wash-StL
Dal-Sea

IMHO, we should get the #1 crew but none of the games are very tantalizing.

It sucks being in the Buffalo/ NY market. I don't think I will see a lot of Pats games this year sadly especially if Buffalo is in contention this year.

Ya about the week 2 game being on FOX. Anyone living in CT make plans to go to the bar, find someone with The Ticket or if you have Directv buy the Ticket for the week and cancel it on Monday. Because FOX CT shows Giants over Patriots.

Happened in 2009 for Patriots/Falcons game.

This is true and always has been. There are a ton of Giants fans in CT, many more than Patriots fans, or that has been my experience anyway. I went through five years of college checking the schedule as soon as it came out for the would-be Fox games and what the Giants were doing that week.

Fox has a history of not promoting AFC games, just like CBS did back when they had the NFC/NFL rights. They also love the NFC East teams more than any of the other divisions because of their market sizes. I wouldn't be surprised if Buck and Aikman are used in the Dal-Sea or TB-NYG game. Even though it is Fox' one and only chance to broadcast the Pats this year they probably won't make a big deal about it because to them it's like promoting their competitor's product.
