Sammy Morris says Patriots are interested in reunion
Quote:
erm...no thanks. I know he showed some signs of life in Dallas last year but last time he was here there wasn't much gas left in the tank. I'd rather stick with our current options. Either way, I'm not sure it's too serious on the team's part. |
Re: Sammy Morris says Patriots are interested in reunion
I'll take Ridley, Vereen, Woody, Addai, Fiammetta, Larsen, Kettani, even Kevin Faulk over Morris. So no thanks.

Please God, no.

Re: Sammy Morris says Patriots are interested in reunion
I don't get how they could possibly be interested at any level in this guy.

Re: Sammy Morris says Patriots are interested in reunion
Maybe as a training camp body, but not a chance on the 53.

Faulk, Woodhead, and Addai are all situational players, and 2 of the 3 of them might be done as is. |

Would be a step back signifying either Addai didn't pan out as a veteran presence or Faulk is even more done than we think and signing two FB's was just something Bill did because he could. |
Re: Sammy Morris says Patriots are interested in reunion
I see no problem with having Faulk and/or Morris brought in to see how they look. Faulk is a year off that surgery, and Morris is an all around guy who'd be looked at for the last spot if someone else isn't panning out.

Re: Sammy Morris says Patriots are interested in reunion
Morris gave a lot while here and didn't look half bad in spot duty for the Cowboys a year ago. I don't know if he has anything left but, like Deus said, there is nothing wrong with bringing him in for a look.

Re: Sammy Morris says Patriots are interested in reunion
If they can afford the roster spot. Bring him in. Let him help out the young RBs in camp and the preseason and then cut him before the final 53 man roster. I can see him making the final 53 man roster in any situation.
