More of the Right's Hateful War on Women

It's not enough to call them names - now it's escalated into calling for the death and/or disfigurement of certain female Democratic Senators by means of an ancient Islamic punishment ritual.

From Jay Townsend the official spokesman for Rep. Nan Hayworth (R-N.Y.)

Quote:

"Let’s hurl some acid at those female democratic Senators who won’t abide the mandates they want to impose on the private sector."
Jay Townsend, GOP Spokesman: 'Let's Hurl Some Acid At Those Female Democratic Senators'

So far Senator Hayworth has yet to condemn or otherwise respond to her spokesperson's remarks.

Aren't you one of the spelling nazis in here always talking about how important it is to spell words correctly in order to convey a point one is trying to make?

Funny how there are some spelling mistakes that even spellcheck can't recognize, huh?

Well afew points about the OP topic

He shouldn't have said it, reading the account at the link of his interaction with a male person on his twitter acct, it sounds like it could have been a tit for tat comment inresponse to a comment from"

Quote:

"My question today... when is Tommy boy going to weigh in on all the Lilly Ledbetter hypocrites who claim to be fighting the War on Women? Let’s hurl some acid at those female democratic Senators who won’t abide the mandates they want to impose on the private sector."

One wonders why the OP edited the quote the way she did to change the context?

One also wonders if "Tommy" had suggested to hurl acid ar pub women earlier intheir conversation? I would like to see the FULL exchange between the 2 people?

However even if "Tommy" brought up throwing acid Jay as a public figure shouldn't have responded in kind. If "Jay" brought up the acid throwing without provocation from "Tommy he should strp down.

Went to the facebook page where the comment was made, it is run by dem activist who have remove the dialog between "Tommy" and "Jay" so there is no context available and no way to see how the comment came about.

Bad job removeing the entire conversation so people could see for themselves what happened.

It sounds like "Jay" was bringing up the hypocracy of the Dem Senators who whil saying they were for this equal pay act election ploy were paying their own staffers far less than their male staffers as per this linked article:

Senate Dems Betray Lilly | Washington Free Beacon

Quote:

A group of Democratic female senators on Wednesday declared war on the so-called “gender pay gap,” urging their colleagues to pass the aptly named Paycheck Fairness Act when Congress returns from recess next month. However, a substantial gender pay gap exists in their own offices, a Washington Free Beacon analysis of Senate salary data reveals.

Of the five senators who participated in Wednesday’s press conference—Barbara Mikulski (D., Md.), Patty Murray (D., Wash.), Debbie Stabenow (D., Mich.), Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) and Barbara Boxer (D., Calif.)—three pay their female staff members significantly less than male staffers.

Murray, who has repeatedly accused Republicans of waging a “war a women,” is one of the worst offenders. Female members of Murray’s staff made about $21,000 less per year than male staffers in 2011, a difference of 35.2 percent.

More do as I say not as I do from shameless dem pols.
