A number of the team’s most recognizable stars were given the morning off, including quarterback Tom Brady, wide receivers Randy Moss and Wes Welker, linebacker Tedy Bruschi, safety Rodney Harrison, and defensive end Richard Seymour. More likely is that they’ll be in attendance tonight when the team practices in the stadium in front of season ticket holders.
Not much to report from a news standpoint this afternoon, although head coach Bill Belichick did mention that he has spoken to linebacker Junior Seau, who remains a possibility to re-sign and provide additional depth to the linebacking corps. Belichick didn’t characterize their conversations, noting only that the team currently has the maximum of 80 players in camp. “If we make any roster moves, we’ll let you know as soon as we can,” he said.
