Good special teams player. Played some WR in college.
Don't think he's being looked at on defense. PFF ranks him significantly lower than any Patriots CB or S that played on the team last season; Averaged 0.66 Int's per year and 0.33 sacks per year over his 6 year career. Amazingly, has never forced a fumble in his 6 NFL years. Won't turn 30 until the end of next season. Was suspended 4 games in 2010 for steroid use. Yep, posted in other thread, with that contract he might be our starting FS. He was a backup to a very good safety (Weddle), betterthan Ihedigbo, who knows.

Gregory is a free safety. There aren't many available.
Our current safeties are: Chung and Barrett. We also have STer Sergio Brown. I think that we will still look for more safeties, including Landry this weekend. |
