BB not going anywhere soon.

Re: BB not going anywhere soon.
I love how the headline yesterday was "BB Sidesteps Retirement Question"
Anything to start stirring the pot. |

Now, while I don't for a second think he'll be retiring soon, why would you take him at face value? Not exactly his style to be upfront on such things :)

Re: BB not going anywhere soon.
Isn't his contract expiring this year?
I am confident he will re-sign (if this year or next); but it would be nice if that was locked in. I was wondering a bit if the McDaniels hiring wasn't also a step towards locking in a succession plan. But then, since the BP-Jester succession plan left such a bad taste in his mouth; I am not sure he would even go down that road. But he is totally anal in all other planning; so I would think he has that organized for Kraft as well. |
Re: BB not going anywhere soon.
I think BB wants to smash all NFL records with Tom and then to solidify himself as best coach, do it again AFTER Tom. I see him here for 10-15 more years.

Because I think he knows he's finally got the core of what he's been looking for in a team, and I think he truly wants to build on it and see it through. |
Re: BB not going anywhere soon.
Suspect that BB will stay on post Brady, to show that he was not defined by #12....
As much as he says stats do not influence what he does and what motivates him, currently he is at 175 wins.. right behind Knox(186), Reeves(190), Noll(193), Schottenheimer(200) and Paul Brown(213) I think he will minimally want to surpass Brown, so he can included in the conversation as one of the greatest of all time.. Lambeau, Landry, Hallas and Shula can remain the top 4 of all time... |
Re: BB not going anywhere soon.
After watching A Football Life it wouldn't surprise me if BB one day coached the Giants. It's obvious he still loves that organization and would probably be an honor for him to coach there.
