Program Alert: The Brady 6

For those who haven't seen it, or simply want to watch it again, it is on NFL Network at 8PM EST Tonight, Friday, February 3, 2012.

It's a very well done documentary on the story of Brady, which we all know so well by now, and, the much lesser known story of his career BEFORE coming to NE as well as the story of the 6 quarterbacks drafted ahead of him in the 2000 draft.

Some great stuff too with Drew Hansen, who he competed with at Michigan, Hansen was later the quarterback for the winless Lions in 2008 before retiring from the NFL to take a broadcasting job with ESPN. Have to really feel bad for that guy, his indecision and impatience basically killed what could have been a great career.

Edit: For those who can't watch it or didn't set their DVR's, as stated in the thread it is on youtube in its entirety without commercials.

That documentary fricking rocks. The whole thing is also available piecemeal via youtube.

My favorite part is where they're talking about Giovanni Carmazzi, and how the 49ers took him at QB and how he played against the Patriots (and Brady) in a 2000 preseason game. The 49ers were hoping Giovanni would be the next Joe Montana. The Narrator says (basically): "The next Joe Montana was on the field that day. He just happened to be playing for the other team."

What a brilliant line.

"Carmazzi declined to be interviewed, he described himself as a yoga practicing farmer. He owns 5 goats."

Yup, the first time I saw it was through youtube, but everything is better in HD!

NFL N has already butchered the opening and their logo splashes are ugly. Originally aired on ESPN, and NFLN has advertised it as "only on NFL Network". Wonder if they bought the rights to it and redid a few parts where they had to remove ESPNs logo.

If You Didn't Already LOVE General Tom Brady...

WATCH "Brady 6" on NFL NetWork.

What a FORCE.

Maybe the VERY best thing about Tom Brady, is that he is STILL ~ even with all the Rings and Records and Accolades and Legendarily Hot Wife ~ ONE...OF...US!! :rocker:

I know it's been said 1000s of times how ultra-competitive, intense, etc Brady is but the thing that always gets me the most about TB is that (as least this is my impression) his parents provided him a GREAT childhood and upbringing (season tix to the 49ers, private HS, upper-class environment, etc.) but also instilled within him a work-ethic that is pretty damn impressive.

On one hand it's a parent's job to raise their kids right but on the other hand for the parent's that DO raise their children to work hard, be respectful, etc. they deserve some credit with how they raised TB.
