He had no limp, but did wear a boot, he was also walking at a fairly quick pace and looked perfectly fine. That said, he only walked about 100 yards.

Gronk is playing the the game, people. Calm down. They're going to shoot him up with some pain killers and he'll be as close to 100% as possible. There really isn't anything to worry about.

Gronk's dad already blew the cover, he flat out said his son plans to play

Ankle sprains healing varies, but usually they heal within 1-2 weeks with just conservative treatment. I sprained mines a few ago, and I was back running in a few days. It just depends on the severity.

There's was an article in the NY Post or NY Daily News from a couple of days ago, and it basically stated that Gronk had a dislocated ankle in the 8th grade. They popped it back in without surgery, but the doctors said it would heal in 5 weeks plus 5 weeks rehab. When Gronk went back to the doctor 2 weeks later the doctor was in absolute shock that the injury had already healed. They wouldn't allow him to play for another 3 weeks after that, but still, he was good to go in only half the time. The kid is alright.

This is quite the overstatement:

Pats in Indy. Gronk practically running to the bus. As if he knew we'd be watching his ankle and wanted to send us a message. Or something

But, if there was any doubt on whether he'd play or not, it has all been erased. The next thing we'll be hearing about is how WELL can he play, especially in the second half. Once you stop moving and cool down is when these injuries flare back up. It's why he was able to return to the game, the SB has a longer halftime than the normal game.

The most critical thing is that he stays loose during halftime, stays on a bike, jogs around the locker room, whatever it is, can't settle down with an injury like this if you want to make it through the game. Anyone who has had any kind of sprain knows that playing through it isn't the hard part, its getting back out there after resting.
