Boston Bar Meet - Beers on Maddow?
 

Yes, Rachel Maddow, MSNBC. Put politics aside.

Maddow's a huge Pats Fan. A couple weeks ago, during her show, she called Aaron Hernandez her "secret boyfriend," and said if he caught a TD in the SB, beers were on her.

I'm not up in the Boston area, but I'm wondering if there's a bar meet up there that would like to get your favorite bar linked up w/the Maddow show to get this to happen.

The pitch would be that they'd tape the bar where the game is on, and (one would hope) there'd be a Hernandez TD. (they're night-side weekday TV, so it would have to be tape rather than live.)

Seems to me like the bar gets a mention, Maddow gets some video, you get a beer, everybody's happy.

That would make sense. She lives in Western Mass. and followed through on a promise to buy a soldier a beer there when he returned from Afghanistan in January.

They have a great Super Bowl party, although you need to buy tickets. I am sure that Rudi wouldn't mind the publicity!

Has anyone every seen Maddow and Oberman together? I always thought they were the same person, and he just did the 10 o'clock show in drag. I won't take a free anything from her.

It's a matter of a contact at the bar end (sounds like you guys are familiar w/the owner) and a contact at the MSN end.

There's some interest in PMs on this. Flex, you have time to help work the bar end? Should I loop you in?

Thats just a guess on my part, i really have no idea but like B5 said when she bought somebody a beer before it was at The Student Prince. Personally i have never been there but B5 is a regular.
