Saturday Musings
 

A couple of thoughts that keep coming to mind watching all the coverage this week. Intersted if I am the only one with these thoughts :eek:

1. Amazing how Eric Mangini has been blacklisted. I mean he is ok with his analysis job but the fact that he hasn't gotten a sniff for a DC job or head coaching job really speaks to how others in the NFL feel about him.

2. Why are the Jet's still trying to make news? Seriously.. no one cares about your 8-8 club that has now missed their very small window of opportunity.

3. Not much talk about McDaniels after the Denver game. But one has to wonder why all the calmness and almost giddiness that BB and the players have shown the last two weeks. BB seems so much calmer.. Could he be focusing more on the D and letting BOB and Josh focusing on the Off?

4. Not much talk this week from Reiss and Bruschi about McCourty and his role at Safety. BB went out of his way to praise him during his breakdown session with Zolak.

Mangini blacklisted, that's a good way to put it. He hasn't gotten job offers? It sure looks like he's serving time on ESPN.

I hear his name come up for contention on coaching jobs via media speculation but that's about it.

We don't really know whether he has gotten job offers or teams have shown interest. I believe he is still being paid by the Browns, so taking a year off would be normal.
Brian Billick hasn't gotten any interest for a HC job in 4 years and he won a SB. I don't think one year out of work for Manigini is evidence he is blacklisted.

Because they still think they are interesting.

When is BB not calm?

It will be interesting to see where McC plays. Last week it looked like LCB in the base and S in the sub.

This game is taking FOREVER, I can only imagine how long the 2 weeks in the Superbowl are going to feel like.

Oh, theres talk about Josh, it's just about as ridiculous as it gets, though.

Klis thinks McDaniels gave Patriots an unfair advantage - Broncos Country Message Boards

They can't figure out that they beat Pitt because they lost half their starting lineup and refused to adjust their gameplan and only a few give us credit for actually adjusting and admitting Denver played the same game they did in week 15.
