BB: A football life (the team)

Are you guys watching this now? That team was pathetic compared to this years team.

Offense/Defense/ everything.

Wow. Eye opening.

That offense was freaking terrible.

Moderator edit: this is currently being broadcast on NFL Network, in case you are wondering.

The best way to describe that team, IMHO, is front runners. They played very well with the lead and when things were coming up roses for them. Games against the Falcons, Baltimore, the second Jets game, etc showed this.

However, when met with the slightest adversity, they caved. Denver, Indy, at Miami, etc.

Another thing that really gets me about that team is how they didn't listen to what BB said. Faulk earlier this year had a comment, something like, "At some point these guys will learn that when Bill says something is going to happen in a game, it happens." You can see it in that show too. He goes over what to take away from the Jets and then no one does what he says as it unfolds in front of them. I think any parent or anyone who works with kids/teenagers can empathize with this. You try to prepare them but they act like they know better and then look at what happens. You were right and it is so frustrating.

Yeah, it prob didn't matter if the Pats beat B-more that year. They would've lost the next week or prob against the Saints in the SB. Yeah, this team is WAY better. Next year they will be even better especially when BB rebuilds the secondary in the offseason.

BB is so funny in this program. Stark contrast on the man in the interview room. I think he just hates the two-faced media..lol

I still remember him mumbling to Brady "I just can't get them to play the way they need to play." It looks like he spent the next two years cleaning out everyone who couldn't play the way that was needed, even if the moves looked bewildering at the time.

2009 Pats = 2011 Red Sox

Hey -- anyone know how much Brady was around the team after he was IR'd in '08? My impression has always been that it wasn't much, and that's when the chemistry of this team went downhill. Brady must have come back and thought, "what the ..." I always felt like the off-season between '09 and '10, BB and Brady set out to reclaim the locker room. As far as I can see, they succeeded.
