OT: I am curious--did the Colts make history
The "Colts" will be hosting the SB. They came in dead last in the NFL and will get the first pick overall.
(I recall when Indy was granted the SB all the Colts fans talking about the possiblity of it being a home game) Is this the first time the "host city" has had the dishonor of having the worst record in the NFL? |
Re: OT: I am curious--did the Colts make history
New Orleans has hosted a number of SB's over the years, I have to think that they would have been the worst team a couple of times.

Re: OT: I am curious--did the Colts make history
I think the New Orleans Saints still hold that distinctive record, as the worse team ever to host the SB. It was back during the 1980 season. They went 1-15. SB XV was played in the Superdome that year (January 1981). And, guess who their one win was against, as they were 0-14........drum roll please.......the JETS, in New York !!!!

Well,at least you know the end zones that the Colts faced forward weren't used as much all year, nor were the first down markers. :p

At least Polian won't be there to press the crowd noise button over the PA system.
