The Owner of the New England Patriots

Proud to root for a team owned by this man (and his late wife).

Wow, I read Mike Freeman's story about this last week..

Why Bob Kraft is a special owner - CBSSports.com

But to hear it from this lady, wow just wow. And you know Myra more then likely had a big say in that decision..

Very fortunate to root for a team with such a great owner..

Edit:http://forums.projectcovo.com/images/smilies/wtf.png Um, just re-reading the Freeman Article and the OP's. I think that is two different women. WTF, this Peter guy was a f'n villain...

This floored me:

Redmond said that in the meeting Kraft disclosed a piece of information that I had never heard before. At that time, Kraft was new to football ownership, and Kraft faced pressure from other NFL owners not to relinquish Peter's rights because other owners didn't want to set a precedent. Think about that for a second.

Can anyone elaborate on why Peter was allowed to be drafted in the first place? Was there insufficient background info? Was Kraft not in the war room? Was this on Parcells?

As the woman in question noted in her article, despite all his problems, he was never even suspended for a single game. I imagine that played a role.

We also don't know how much knowledge Kraft, personally, had on Peter; it could be that Kraft, at least, never found out until after the draft.

I think it's the same woman; she just took her husband's name when she married.

No.

They are two different women. Women change their LAST names (sometimes) when they marry. Very rarely do they change their first names. Also, the two articles are written within days of each other.

So Natalie Tysdal is not Kathy Redmond.

Christian Peter molested SEVERAL women and never even got a slap on the wrist from the "University" of Nebraska.

Incredibly, in 2006 (11 years after the Pats ditched him), the "University" of Nebraska HONORED this cretin: http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.d...&ATCLID=324922

Good thing Jerry Sanduskey didn't work at Nebraska - - he would have been elevated to Dean by now.

Oops. My apologies; somehow, I just completely missed that. :(

My point, though, on Kraft not actually knowing about it, still holds.
