Should the mods police game day threads more closely?
IMHO, relentless hyperbolic negativity has ruined what was once a pleasant thread.
Time for the mods to get more involved? |

We have discussed this for many years. Yes the negativity sucks ... however this is an opinion board and members have the right to state their opinion. |
Re: Should the mods police game day threads more closely?
I had to stream the game online today so I was following the game thread closely because I was on my computer, and holy crap, there were some posters who were going completely over the edge. I appreciate constructive criticism as much as the next guy, but what these guys were posting was completely unacceptable.

Are there adults on this board that sit around with their friends only utteringg relentless positive affirmations even in the worst of times during a game? This isn't real life, not sure why people take this stuff so personally. People like to vent on the game thread. If that offends your sensibilities, try to avoid the thread.

Technically, if Ian wanted to, he could say, "If you make a post that mentions Eugene Chung, you'll be banned," and it'd be perfectly legal. I'm OK with people being critical of the Pats, but if (A) you start becoming abusive towards other posters, or (B) post things that are clearly and utterly false, you should be gone. I also think that if you say that in your opinion the game is over, and the Pats have lost, then you should leave the thread. |
Re: Should the mods police game day threads more closely?
This forum has been overrun by whiny, immature, clueless fanboys.

Re: Should the mods police game day threads more closely?
How? Don't they focus mostly on the game? Which ones would want to expend energy policing game day posts during the middle of a game?
